Food is excellent. Home cooking great selection you don't leave hungry that's for sure. Friendly and attentive staff and very clean restaurant. Kid friendly and reasonable prices. Pull up a chair and sit awhile to enjoy their hot coffee and great food.

This is the type of local "whole in the wall" eateries that become go to stops for me. I will definitely be returning next time I travel through KC.

I love traditional diners and this one fits the bill. I judge diners on their iced tea and breaded pork tenderloin sandwich. All good here! The 1/2 sandwich was plenty! Good and fresh and tender. Service was very good. I was there after lunch rush but plenty of customers gave the place a nice buzz.

This place has the best tenderloins this side of the Mississippi! No kidding, they are extremely tender and the portion is awesome. Unless you have a monster appetite, I would suggest to share one. We always eat there and the service is great. The place is a little "dated" so be prepared.

The food was actually quite good. Especially the breakfast bowl. However the menu was surprisingly unclear. I mean it's a menu right? But you have to see it to understand what I mean and I forgot to take a picture. The biggest turnoff and hence the three stars was the atmosphere. We expected to smell a little like a greasy spoon but whoa it was next level. Between the old stale cigarette smoke from the sports bar next door to the kitchen fumes lingering in the dining area to the curtains that absorbed it all, we will likely skip eating in next time. A to go order would be your best bet here because the food was quite good.

When did the wheels fall off the bus? This used to be our fo to place whenever we were out south. It was out of our way, but worth it.Last weekend, we called in to pick up takeout, it was 10:30. The Excuse i got was we can't do tenderloin or a club until 11. When I told her we were still a ways out it will take a half hour to get there, I got we can't do it.We stopped by tonight, everything says they are open until 9 pm. We showed up at 7:45 and it was dark and locked. Sorry we drove so far, we live by legends, but their I don't give a damn attitude cost them a longstanding and faithful customer. I am sure we can find a place that will be open when they say they are and provide customer service.

I had the chicken fried steak and it was amazing! My husband had the roast beef open sandwich and it was great as well! We will definitely come back!

The waitress was wonderful and the food was delicious. The pork tenderloin was hand breaded and gigantic. The Chichén tenders and chicken fried chicken were also hand breaded and were moist and tender. We will definitely be back.
