Johnny’s Tavern

I was impressed with the cheerful, attentive, friendly and helpful service at this new location. Every employee I encountered was first-rate, especially my server Ryndi.The teriyaki grilled chicken bowl ($12.99) was served ten minutes after I ordered at the bar. It was very good, with a good amount of tasty grilled chicken and perfectly cooked veggies on a bed of rice with a teriyaki sauce and a spicy sauce on the side.I noticed a spacious patio with a fireplace and windows that opened to the main bar for ordering - cool! I also noticed a spacious dining area, a long bar, 16 beers on tap, two event rooms, a golden tee game, an electronic dart board, an electronic juke box and country background music (not too loud). Unfortunately, as with most new bars, there was a lack of sound deadening materials, so noise levels rose quickly.They offer a loyalty club, daily food and drink specials, a happy hour and a reverse happy hour.Overall, pretty good!

We have been patrons at Johnny's since it opened. We have continued to visit amongst complainants about loudness, etc. we visited this last weekend with out of town friends. One friend ordered the tomato soup. After a ridiculous wait, the "soup " arrived. It looked like pizza sauce! Beyond thick. Our server took it back at our friends request and brought a bowl of chili. OMG it was dry and very old. This is unacceptable. Going out to eat is expensive now days, we should be able to get decent quality food. This was an embarrassment for us and should be for Johnnys.We are no longer loyal customers of Johnnys. We will be patronizing restaurants with good food and servers and cooks that know the difference between good food and bad quality. The quality of that food should have never been brought to us.

First time visit at the Raymore location. Large bar area including hi-tops situated in this area. There is a private room area as well that looks like it may accommodate about 50 people. And, of course, outdoor dining too. Our server took good care of our table and made some good burger special suggestions and he checked on us several times. I ordered the Fieldhouse Salad with grilled chicken which was very good with lots of chicken. The Gouda Burger was very good with Angus beef. The beers are cold and there are plenty of TV's to see just about every game going on at the same time. You'll have no problem with parking- plenty of spaces.

Food is consistent: I have had close to everything on the menu, always good!Service is good, all the staff I have dealt with in the last year have always been nice and caring.Ambiance is good home town stuff hanging on the walls.

Ordered the Nashville Spicy Chicken Sandwhich with the Onion Ring/Fry combo side. The sandwich looked to be just the standard fried chicken sandwich with some hot oil and spices placed on the top middle of the fried chicken breast. Led to the middle being the only flavor from that and the rest just being a plain chicken sandwich. The chicken breast did taste good but still had a good amount of grease in certain bites that made it not as good as it should be. The fries were good with the seasoning and I would ask for crispy next time. The onion rings were ok but not that great so I would just order the fries as the side. We sat on the covered patio and it was quite nice as the inside was quite cold. Service was great as we were seated and taken care of imidiatly. The waitress was super nice and made sure we didn't go without anything.

Today was my first visit to Johnny's located in Raymore MO. I was not impressed with the food. The restaurant was clean and the staff was attentive and friendly. The music is too loud to have a conversation JMO. I ordered a tenderloin sandwich with chips. I was disappointed in the tenderloin. It was huge but not much meat inside. The breading was overwhelming and overcooked. No problem the server replaced the order with another choice. Chicken fingers were okay nothing special. Our table also had a large pizza that was $5.00 off on Monday. Good value. I ordered a second pizza to go. It was Italian sausage. The meat was over cooked and placed in clumps across the pizza. The pizza also looked overcooked. Maybe these things happened because is was a holiday weekend?? Not in a hurry to return.

This was my first time trying Johnny's tavern and most likely my last. The chicken came out burnt on my Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was very bland and the pizza was not worth the money. We did get an appetizer of cheese curds and that was the best part. Our service was awful as well. The atmosphere could be really cool but it was so loud I couldn't hear anyone talk to me.

Since Johnny's has opened in raymore, it has continuously been packed. It shows that the town definitely needed or appreciated a large bar and grill staple being placed in a centralized location in the community. They usually have a good amount of staff and the service has always been quick. I have always had good efficient service with small groups and large groups. The food has always come out fresh. Unfortunately you're not going to get anything crazy or unique besides standard bar food and the quality is what you would expect but if you're coming to get drinks and get hungry along the way, it does the job. Overall it was fair and I will probably be back with friends if I am in the area.

Having been to other johnnys locations, I was disappointed in the dive bar vibe this place had. Ew. I had a burger, which was fine but not great. Onion rings were awful- stale tasting and tough. My guest had a tenderloin that was very good. Service was fine but quite average. Sweet potato fries potion was small and they were very soft, but edges were dark so at least they weren't burned, which is very easy to do with these.

Ordered tenderloins for my husband and I yesterday. The size of them have been reduced but price stayed the same. ($28.00) We are seniors and on a fixed income and do not indulge going out a lot so was very disappointed and will think twice before going there again. Usually can get two meals from a sandwich. The seasoned fries were cold and hard to eat!!! Ordered was ready when I got there and the servers were very nice. Restaurant had just a few patrons or it's not that being busy was a problem.
