Johnny’s Tavern Parkville

I'm not a bar owner, or friend with any manager, staff, or anyone associated with this facility.Johnny's tavern is a sports bar, and can be a fun hang out spot!Food is bar food. Nothing I'd go out of my way for. I was particularly fond of the strawberry summer salad.However, I am rather upset about poor code of conduct amongst the staff. My husband was a regular here and sent their regular server, Serene, tips via Venmo. She returned the favor by sending dirty photos. I am not a fan of this kind of behavior. Like I said previously, I hope you improve your standard of service or shut your doors.If you have a problem with my review, you can message me privately and we can discuss steps moving forward. However, that's a harder thing to do for someone who is in the wrong!

I ordered a nacho plate with steak and 12 bone in wings in Johnny sauce. The wings were baked with no sauce, and we're very mild. The nacho plate was very basic, with no flavor (basically chips with salsa and black olive). Overall, probably not a place I would come back to for food.

The servers are so friendly and attentive. The food is as good as you always expect at Johnnys. I enjoyed the shrimp basket. Always a big portion enough for two meals

Come as you are. Bring your kids. Watch the game. Enjoy your evening. Johnny's Tavern is the perfect sports bar and is sectioned/partitioned well with bar seating (older folks) and family friendly booths. Yes, Johnny's is a chain but makes you feel at home immediately and the hostesses will work with you (versus cattle calling you). Our (clearly experienced) server was knowledgeable, had great recommendations, delivered all items quick and made zero mistakes. Impressive for how busy Johnny's was on this eventful Thursday night. She steered us in the right direction and helped us have a great experience (often challenging with youngsters). Love J's wings and this time we ordered two plates. Just the right crunch, sauce, and heat. Pizza is above average, but just greasy and crispy enough. What really stands out at Johnny's is the sandwiches. The gals and kids were very complimentary of the choices and flavor. On burger night, you simply can't beat the second burger deal. The cheese curds and tots were also a big hit with everyone. Overall, Johnny's price point well reflects "what you get." We look forward to the next game, comfortable Johnny's booth, and perfectly executed bar food.

This is not fine dining HOWEVER it is fine tavern dining. Been going to Johnny's down south for years, at Sprint we referred to it as conference room D. I'm happy to see we finally have one North of the River. We were in dire need of more restaurants not in KCMO/Zona, Parkville and not KCK/Legends. I enjoyed a quick dinner at the bar right after work and it was super. Bartender was attentive and checked back the perfect amount of times.in and out in around 30 mins.

The service here is great. The atmosphere is open and airy. Plenty of televisions to watch any game. I ordered buffalo wings and the French dip. Fries came with the meal as well. My wife order the steak teriyaki. All of this was to go. I knew the food was not going to be good when it took only a matter of minutes for it to arrive. The wings had very little buffalo sauce. Store bought wings would of been better. The French dip came on a wrinkled soggy roll with hardly any cheese. My wife got chopped up hamburger instead of steak. I heard the burgers are ok from my daughter. I don't know what is going on as far the food. I'm not sure the owners taste the food. We threw the teriyaki steak away. A waste of $14. I most likely will not go back since so many other restaurants are near by. A serious look at the quality of food needs to be examined by the owners. A big disappointment. Too bad.

We stopped in last night to watch the chiefs game. They were fairly busy, but we were still seated quickly and our server was great. The atmosphere was electric with chiefs fans everywhere. Our food and drinks were tasty as always and we enjoyed celebrating a chiefs win with everyone. This is a great place to grab a bite and cheer on your favorite team.

Excited to dine at Johnny's Tavern's new location in the Northland last weekend. With KU playing Kentucky, it was a great location for watching sports with fellow fans. Among the things we liked was how quick our wait was for a table, you can't miss the game with TVs on every wall and in your booth, the severs were awesome, food excellent and five of us ate like Kings for less than $100 with tip. Next time we'll try some of their cool craft cocktails. Might add a bomb or shot for good measure. We tried the wings, pizza and burgers. All were large portions, super flavorful and made perfectly to order. I especially liked how the manager was floating around making sure everything was perfect. And it was! Super fun place to hang with friends. Can wait till our next visit. We will become regulars.

Incredibly good service. great atmosphere for games. Many TVs with different games on. The food is amazing. Teriyaki stir fry, pizza, wings, French dip and jambalaya are all outstanding. Friendly staff, quick service. Just a great place to eat, hangout, and watch games!

I feel bad giving his a bad review because we love Johnny's so much. We go to our local one about once a week. Maybe more. This was stop on the way to the airport and we won't be back. Really bad service. Honestly too much to list. Everything was brutal. Just avoid it and go to the other locations.
