My Roommate called this company to have 2 light switches done and made a appointment. They told him it would be between 11-1 and was told that there would be a 30 minute call before coming. Well it got to be 1pm and no call or anything. I called the company and spoke to Ed and he explained to me that no appointments were set in stone and that the person who was due here was on another job. I asked him why did he not call and let me know and he was rude and said well it will be a later time and then he came back and said well lets just cancel the appointment and hung up. Bad business it only takes a minute of some ones time to call some one to let them know that your running late not this company. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this company to anyone.

These guys know what they are doing! I am so grateful that we found John at JMC, it has saved countless hours that would have been spent with a less knowledgeable electrician. I own a 1950 railroad car that travels behind Amtrak. The electrical system is complex, consisting of 480 volt, 240 volt, 120 volt as well as 2 battery systems of 32 and 64 volts. John navigated the system confidently and was able to rectify all of our concerns. He's been back numerous times to deal with subsequent issues and each time has been as satisfactory as the first. I highly recommend this company - their ethics are high, their pricing very reasonable, and the quality of work excellent.

First time it stormed after they put in a masthead and upgraded our service, a small branch hit the line and caused the masthead to bend. Turns out they failed to put a second guy wire to the roof. Hundreds of dollars later, they attached a second guy wire and repaired the masthead. They should have done this the first time.Update the next year...next storm, next small branch, this time it ripped the guy wire's screw out of the roof, and tore off half the brace to the side of the house.I refused to call them again after last time. New electrician said the attachments to the roof were small insufficient screws and they really needed to have used lag bolts reinforced to inside of garage.So now I'm looking at close to another $1K for the work to be done properly. This should have been done properly in the first place. Buyer beware and for any service upgrades suggest they use something other than a dry wall screw to anchor such a tensioned load to the roof.

I attempted to get an estimate from this company for some work. Called on a thur or Friday. I am an Angie's list member and there was a special for $49 serv call and 1 hr of work. I was supposed to have someone at my house for bid on mon morning. No call no show at appointment window. I call and was promised someone would be at my home tues. no apology for my time wasted. Someone did show up tues and looked at work and said they'd get back with me. Nothing the rest of that week. I call fri afternoon and was told tech was out of town I should have bid Monday. Monday comes, I've got nothing from this company. Called Tuesday morning. Promised bid by close of business. Got nothing. I would not recommend this business. It shouldn't be this hard to do business with. I have no idea what the bid would have been. I can see enough already.Revised: I did receive a bid at 6pm. The bid was not broke down for the 3 tasks I asked for, two of which were pretty simple. The bid was very high, even with an Angie's list discount.

I had JMC come out to my home to fix some back porch lights and give me an estimate on some other work. After they fixed the lights I said ok to them doing the other work. About half way through the job the tech left and a new tech arrived to continue the work. After the new tech had been working for 2 1/2 hours he informed me that he too has to leave but wilol come back tomorrow to finish but he needs to be paid now. I paid him and had him write on the receipt that they would return to finish the work. The next day they said that I would have to pay for the additional time that the tech would spend at my home to finish the work. I believe that I paid the bill for the work they did as well as what they left. No where on the receipt does it say I would have to pay for the truck to come back out or the tech's additional time to complete the job. I paid for them to install 3 lights they only installed one. The Techs' were great but this company sucks they use deceptive billing practices. I also have never had a company pull techs' off of a job without completing it and demand payment prior to completion. The is company is a bunch of THIEVES! Beware and avoid at all costs.
