Jerry's Bait Shop

This is one of my favorite places in KC. It's been around forever and one of the best music venues around. The jam night (Wednesdays, I think) are the best! It's a great place to bring people from out of town to truly get a taste of local KC. This is certainly not a chain restaurant. The pizza is delicious and the service is exactly what you'd expect from a great dive bar. Definitely check it out sometime!

Jerry's Bait Shop is an awesome hole-in-the-wall tucked away in a quiet area of Lenexa. While it may be tiny, it really packs a punch. Each time I've been there, I've had more fun than the last.The live music is fantastic and no one is shy to get on the dance floor. People are friendly and it is easy to mingle. And the place draws a reliably good crowd - by 9 PM, the place is hopping.The drink prices are exactly what you'd want them to be, and they have a limited food menu that primarily consists of pizza and calzones. I highly recommend "The Bones" - for $9.99, you get a huge plate of what are essentially "stuffed crusts" - yummy dough around mozzarella cheese. It is delicious.Jerry's Bait Shop will certainly be on my regular rotation.

Love the atmosphere and the live music!!!!! Highly recommend having a beer and listening to local artists / bands here!

If you love a dive bar this is great! We live dive bars and on Fridays they have a pizza lunch Buffett for 10.00! Service was top notch and pizza pretty good. If you wanted a special type all you had to do was ask! Amazing service. Will be back!

Jerry's Bait Shop is a quintessential neighborhood bar that is all about having a good time.Live music ties everything together. Wednesday is jam night. Thursday is country jam night. Fridays and Saturdays are all about the area's best cover bands.The venue touts a lunch buffet from 11:30am to 2pm Monday through Friday. It's a good option if you're in the area.If you're not dining during lunch then the menu features pizzas among a bar food focused menu. (Small note: I was in around 7:45pm and was told the kitchen was closed. If you're hungry, you might want to dine during normal dining times.)

Awesome old school type bar. Sat at the bar and the bartender was a super cool dude who always has a smile on his face. Great service, cold beer, patio area and live music. Definitely be going back.

Jerrys is a super fun dive bar. It's within walking distance of our house so before kids we would walk down there. People watching is always great there. A lot of characters.

Great place except for the service. Male bartender over charges, they change prices to inflate tips, don't server if you know price and pay with smaller tip. Don't waste time on this nickle and dime place due to the theft from bartenders

I give Jerry's 5 Stars, because I love dive bars and Jerry's is the Best! It doesn't take many visits 'til the employees all know your name either... nothing impresses your granddaughter more than that! The bands are so predictibly talented, I rarely check to see who's playing, Jam Night is always a hit as far as I'm concerned, the place is usually teeming with talent!

This place can never get anything right and it's probably because they can't hear you cause we are all going deaf from the ridiculous loud high pitch speakers. Turn them down so we quit destroying our hearing. It doesn't even sound good. So we wrote down our order and showed her and it was still all wrong. Wrong crust, wrong size, didn't get what we asked for. This is the last time. I know they never have enough waitresses but if u value ur hearing and want to eat this is a place to avoid. It used to be good over 20 years ago.
