J'adore Home & Garden

I believe it should be required for everyone in Kansas City to visit J'adore during the holiday season. It is magical. I never fail to find the perfect gift for someone on my list. Most recently, I received a birthday gift from this wonderful shop. However, when I opened it, it was shattered. I took it in with me the very next day so I could purchase another one. I loved and didn't want my friend to know that it was broken when I opened it. Once there, I asked them if they had another and treated myself to a stroll through all the pretty things. I found a couple of gifts and headed to the counter to pay for my new items as well as the replacement for my broken gift.When they ran me up, they refused to let me pay for the broken soap dish. Seriously, where can you find customer service like that? Only at J'adore.LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this shop.

The two guys that own J'adore are so nice, along with the rest of the staff. J'adore sits on an odd little corner in Brookside that can easily be passed by. The sign above the door says "antiques"! It's not an antique store, I guess it was before J'adore moved in and it has been left to weather just like anything good and European. The store is about the owners love of France and Paris. It is really just a gift store, with some plants, furniture, accessories, and gifts. If you need something lovely for you home or a place to pick up a gift, stop by and support these local store owners and say "hi".

Everytime I go in, especially to the little corner where the dog books, lamps, pictures, etc. are kept I always leave with something. Even a birdbath that was a dog. Live four blocks away and find this the nicest little place in KC.

Very COOL holiday decorations, home decorations, etc. at all price points. You work with the owners too...they're great people.

This is the best most unique home store in the city. The things you find here you'll see nowhere else. They are all so incredibly helpful when it comes to finding the perfect item. I have taken photos of an area in my home and they are miracle workers! I get so many compliments on things I've purchased here. Each time I go in, it's different, so an ever changing smorgasbord of creative choices! Love these people so much!!!

I love this shop! Eclectic, kitchy, classy. Things change every time I go in there. I could wander all day. I always find something new when I'm in there. If you need unique gift, or something different for your home, this is the place.

Though the home decor is lovely (and a bit overpriced), the customer service is lacking. Unless you're a middle aged white woman, they will not greet you and will ignore you. My daughter had the same experience as I did. She told me that she watched as the employees helped other customers, but wouldn't even say hello to her. Taking my business elsewhere, will not be returning.

This store is beautiful, lovely, inspiring, creative, and the owners are so charming and friendly. Prices are fair, and the inventory is lovely and always changing. There is something for everyone, no matter what your taste. They also have a beautiful little garden/plant section which I adore. This is my favorite store in Kansas City and my go-to when I need to buy a gift for someone. When my mom or friends are visiting me, I always take them there for fun and shopping. It is located in Brookside. p.s. They carry a great line of rugs
