We went into Jack Stack's for a late lunch, we walked in and waited a few minutes at the Hostess stand before someone came to greet/seat us. It was not busy at all but I believe a server was talking to her table when we walked in. She came over to greet us once she saw us, it was myself, my mom and a friend that we had brought up to Lenexa for an Eye Appointment. We were sat in the bar area since my mom stated she wanted to sit somewhere warm. The restaurant is beautiful with Old Pioneer Day pictures. The bar area was somewhat sectioned off-it had glass from the booths up-the bar area was very nice area with bar top dining and booths/tables. There is also patio seating for those nice warm days. Our server/bartender came and greeted us quickly upon us getting sat(I did not get her name-short dark hair friendly lady)she took our drink ordered and asked if we would like to try the jalapeño cornbread, onion rings or any other appetizer. I told her we would look first then decide. My mom ordered the cornbread when she came back and then we decided on our lunch. We all 3 shared the KC Combo with the 3 meats, I knew it would be enough for me and the other 2(older ladies that don't eat much)and it was a perfect amount. You could add another side like the cheesy potatoes! If you have not tried KC BBQ definitely hit up Jack's-they have several locations around KC and surrounding areas outside of KC. Our Server checked on us frequently and kept my Dr.Pepper filled!Overall the atmosphere, service, and food were great!

We visited again last weekend and it was such a disappointing experience. We made a reservation for 6:45 and still ended up waiting, which is not necessarily a deal breaker, but it is annoying. Our server was amazing! She kept drinks filled, she was friendly and accommodating and checked on us often. What was disappointing was the food. My brother and husband both got burnt ends, which were cooked to perfection. I got the fire wings, which should have been called the burned to a crisp wings. They were so burned, I could not finish them. The meat inside was also very dehydrated and though the baked beans were piping hot, the meat in them was also burnt and tough. We got cornbread as an appetizer and it was not warm. I was so disappointed! Honestly, chicken wings do not take long to cook and should probably be cooked last. I will say that this location has an issue with inconsistent food temperatures, which could be a reason for their recent health department scores. The price point was about what you would expect for Jack Stack and I did appreciate the updated and succinct menus. This is one of the nicer, newer locations in the KC area but the older locations have them beat on food quality for sure. I am hoping they get it together or we may choose a different spot next time.

Everything I got was delicious, except for the cornbread lol!The drinks are pricey and small but they are DELICIOUS. Free parking out front but it does get busy. The burnt ends were my favorite.

One of my absolute favorite BBQ places. The cheesy potatoes are absolutely to dieeee for ! The beans are delicious and the coleslaw is a nice light refreshing element. We got the pork and beef burnt ends. The service was really good ! I love that it's a nicer sit down BBQ place. You can dress up or down!

We stopped here for a birthday dinner while in town. It was a first for everyone & when we arrived, it was nice to be greeted right away & lead to a table already set up. The atmosphere was very classy, moody, dim lighting & sophisticated. There were so many options to choose & all sounded amazing (drinks & food). The fries as a side, was a bit different (most of us would prefer beans or coleslaw). The meat for some was a bit dry with not much BBQ. My side of asparagus did not have much flavor & the stalks were on the 'woody' side. Although we also tried the jalapeño corn bread and Mac & cheese. Both were a hit! Mix drinks were on point & delicious!Service was great though & it was a fun night!

Higher end bbq joint. Chain restaurant. If I had to guess I would say the Barbecue items aren't cooked there on site. I had the beef and pork burnt ends. Both were ok. Little on the dry side. Very small portions. I also had a short rib. The short rib was very good. Super tender! It was also on the small side. Not a Dino rib by any means. Not that they advertise it as one. All three bbq sauces were good. I liked the Cayenne pepper sauce over the black pepper barbecue sauce. The original was the better of the three. Left there hungry and broke. 100 dollar meal for one.

We had a group of six and Jack Stack took great care of us. Inside was clean and inviting. We got seated fast and our drink order was in instantly. We ordered dinner and it felt like it was out in just minutes. I had the beef burnt ends with the hot bbq sauce. It was the perfect mix of spicy and savory. The Mac and cheese was the perfect side. It was a great dinner! Great service, great food!

Excellent location with ample parking and the high quality bbq that Jack Stack is famous for. Most KC BBQ places make excellent smoked meats so when I'm trying to decide where to eat I usually pick based on the experience I want to have. Jack Stack gives you that upscale sit-down restaurant experience with an energetic wait staff that check in frequently, but not too frequently. For this meal I was meeting my 16 year old and wanted a longer dinner experience (because these teenagers are itching to leave as soon as the meals over lol). So I slow rolled the drink orders, appetizers, and main course order. We got a half stack of onion rings and one of the combo platters for two ($40) it had brisket, pulled pork, ribs, turkey and three HEAVENLY sides. Jack Stack's cheesy corn, pit beans, and coleslaw are the holy triumvirate of sides in my opinion. Overall, we enjoyed an excellent meal and conversation, with a relatively inexpensive bill and plenty of leftovers for later.

First time dining in a Jack stack, we've had it catered for parties many times. I opted for the smoked chicken Cobb salad and a side of fries. It could have used an extra side of ranch or some salt, but otherwise really tasty!!Service was excellent as well. We went for the fourth for lunch at noon, and by the time we left at about 1, things were starting to get very busy.
