Oh boy! We had Jack Stack for Valentines dinner a day late.The food was amazing and the service was stellar! Everything is very nice, they have new grey napkins! That's a change. The restaurant was packed, but we still were seated immediately and served rapidly.This is always a favorite and we are so happy to see it still remains a solid 5 stars!

Busy on the Fourth but both bartenders handled their own , serving great drinks and prompt service even the extras requested! Sitting at the bar is always a bonus because there's others you meet with good conversation

Having visited the KCMO area over the years (our son moved down in June 2001 to take a promotion), we've had the pleasure of visiting several wonderful restaurants throughout the city and 'burbs. We have visited Jack Stack kore than once, but last night's experience was exceptional. Because of traffic conditions, we were forced to change our reservation not once but twice! The hostess was understanding and reassuring us there would be no trouble getting a table. We were seated promptly and our fantastic server, Emma, greeted us with a warm smile and pleasantries. Spit, spot. Drinks were served. Orders placed and the appetizer served. Our guests were wowed by the huge, uniformly sized DELICIOUS onion rings. And commented on the yummy horseradish sauce. The plates were presented next. Lovely plating! Bravo to the kitchen crew!!!Our guests were pleasantly impressed with the size of the restaurant, how busy it was for a Wednesday evening and tremendous service we the received. Emma was a ROCK STAR! We appreciated the attention to detail on food due to a couple of dietary concerns. Again, the kitchen staff exceeded our expectations. Many thanks. The place is well lit, comfortable, roomy seating. It's a bit loud for we old folks wearing hearing aids, but we managed just fine. You know we'll return. And hope to SOON!

We stopped here for lunch on a. Friday to get some BBQ while in MO and it was super busy, we were only able to be seated at the bar. I got the hickory smoked chicken chili which I really enjoyed and my husband got a combo plate of burnt ends, brisket, and the creamed corn, which he also liked.

went on a Saturday at lunch time. we were sat right away. Sky and Marissa were our servers, mostly Sky took care of us. we had the two person burnt ends, pork and beef. cheese corn baked beans and potato salad. the baked beans were excellent. cheese corn wax ok and i really love most corn side dishes. the potato salad was also just ok.husband really liked he pork ends. I thought they were both good. we were stuffed by the ti.e we left. service was good, food was quick and tasty.

Great lunch and I was craving the lamb ribs! When you need your bake beans and cheesy corn fix ya gotta get to get to Jack stack. It has become my bday tradition to have their carrot cake for my bday cake! It's to tier! Great servers and they take great care of me! It's so nice. If an open and comfortable! I love that the weather has changed and they have that fireplace going.

Great bbq restaurant! Ended up splitting the Roundup, which included pork ribs, beef brisket, pulled pork, and beef burnt ends (which we substituted for instead of turkey). All the meats were fantastic! They were all very high quality and had amazing taste. My favorite meat was probably the burnt ends due to the tenderness of the meat. The sides (corn/baked beans) were also great. Also tried out the Crème Bruelee and it was solid! With that said, there were a couple of things that I think could have been improved upon. Service was very slow (took quite a bit of time for drinks, food, dessert, and even the bill to come out). Also, I've tried the Country Club Plaza location in the past, and the ribs were much better prepared there (they were a bit too dry in this location). Overall, I still had a good experience here and would recommend if you're looking for some solid barbecue.

The place is large and loud. Even though the place was packed the service was 5 star. But it all comes down to the food. And while the food was good it wasn't great. You won't go away disappointed unless you were looking for the best BBQ in the Midwest. The burnt ends like most of what they called burnt ends today really weren't. The burnt ends should literally end with no more not burnt meant than there is burnt meat. It was more like a shredded brisket sandwich with chopped brisket than what I would call a burnt end sandwich. But it was good. And the bbq sauce was good as well. The beans were the star of the show. Laced with meat and great bbq flavor that had no need to add bbq sauce to it. Lastly the fries. Just ok, not bad but not great. A frozen version of fresh cut which are never as good as fresh cut fries. At least they weren't those battered fries. As for the price/value equation. Better than spending your money on Taco Bell value meals but not better than getting the double double meal at in n out. Unless of course you're tired of going to in n out all the time.
