Ironhorse Golf Club

A great upscale public track with perfectly manicured and tight zoysia fairways. Perhaps the best zoysia I've ever seen. Greens are above average speed and fair. Decent enough warmup area and nice GPS carts. Typical of most newer Midwest courses it is not parkland style but instead punishes errant shots with merciless lost ball native grasses and native timber areas.The staff were pleasant and helpful and we truly felt like invited guests. It was the perfect start to my brother's 4 day golf visit in the area. Could not recommend more highly.

Horrible layout and Greens are in bad condition. Inconsistent speed and bare spots. Kansas City has many better options. OP has a great 19th in addition to a much more enjoyable layout

Played 18. No indication when booking that the back 9 was closed. Clubhouse didn't book a second front 9 tee time for the turn. Ended up getting so backed up I quit after 16. For the price this sort of thing should not happen.

overall terrible experience while we went to play golf the course was fun don't get me wrong. the problem was the customer service, just employees with nasty attitudes. one time an older lady on the beverage cart was impatient and mad we didn't tip her. another time while we were playing our sons were on the mini par 3 course and the manger locked them in. we went inside to see what was going on the guy at the counter Rob i believe is what his name tag said...didn't care and blew it off... that's when we went to the manager Rryan Eckroat, and he blew it off too and made up the excuse of its policy... I don't know what's policy about trapping people inside places but my sons play out there a lot and know other boys who have said the same thing has happened to them...not impressed.

Best public course in Kansas City by far! Although this course is at the higher end for price in KC, it is worth it. The course is challenging through many holes and more importantly the course is in pristine condition.

This review is strictly for Skip and the Champs youth program. My boys adore Skip, he's great with the kids, and my boys have consistently improved their game through this program. They enjoy the social aspect of it, but get plenty of individual guidance and encouragement.

Got charged $80 for 8 fireball shooters and 4 Tito's shooters. Then the bartender has the audacity to give me shit for tipping.

really frustrating. they don't allow you to book as a single and even though there website shows they have open tee slots, they tell you they are booked out. kinda sucky.

It's a fun but difficult course to play. The balls can roll for days. We will be back.
