Hotel Indigo Kansas City - the Crossroads, where the front desk clerk is also your valet, and your key might take a vacation before you do! Arrived to find the multi-talented staff juggling check-ins and car keys like pros. My check-in key had a moment of rebellion and didn't work, but who needs a functioning key when the room is so nice it feels like the door should open on sheer charm alone? The décor made up for everything - stylish, cozy, and with just the right amount of Kansas City flair. Would totally stay again, just for the circus-like check-in experience alone!

Nice smaller hotel with large rooms in a central location. I appreciated the extra sitting room and nice shower. They have a art gallery in the lobby with a restaurant, but open only for breakfast they said. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Walking distance to tons of other restaurants would definitely recommend.

We just spent three nights in KC on a girls' trip and really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Indigo. The hotel is in a good spot for restaurants, bars, and the streetcar. A major shout out to Jocelyn, who works the front desk. We interacted with her on numerous occasions and she is such a ray of sunshine, goes above and beyond, and is so incredibly helpful to all guests; it's clear she loves her job!

The hotel is beautiful in the photos. However, it's been used HARD and it shows. The exhaust in the bathroom didn't work, the shower doors wouldn't slide correctly, and the iron was broken (literally, the point had broken off). The website shows they have a restaurant, however it's been closed since Covid began. They only offer breakfast at additional cost. Everything also looked like it could just use a deep cleaning. And there's a lot of road noise since it's an old building. HOWEVER, the winning factor was the staff. The were exceptional and Eric at the front desk was very hospitable. They clearly are the reason the hotel is doing well despite some much needed love to the building. If ownership reinvested in some upgrades and repairs, I would give 5 stars.

This review is for a one night stay while passing through the surprising lively city of KC. Very glad to have come through here.Booked via ExpediaPros:- More effectively priced vs many of the competitors here. Hotels have all the all the expectations in modern travel, and a few extra niceties. Exercise room, WiFi, good showers, etc- Good proximity to downtown KC, which I have to admit is a very neat area- A lot of art hanging in this place. Hard to tell sometimes if this is a hotel or a modern art gallery.- Building definitely feels repurposed but in a good way. Architecture works (this can cut both ways however)- Staff was very accommodating to my needs. Even did an easier room change without my asking- Nice bar area. Ray the bartender was good conversation.Cons:- The parking is definitely concern. Valet service necessary or street parking is a dice roll. Runs an additional $24- One of the bigger downsides is you can really hear the street if you're on that side of the building. If you're a light sleeper, it will be an issue.- Not the flashiest hotel in the area. Shorter building and not as great views (nit pick)- $18 for a beer and one mixed drink. Ouch!! (nit pick)- Its possibly they may have had a staff shortage this day.Bottom Line:-Better spot than some of the business hotel stays I've had. Very pleased and would revisit.

Hotel Indigo is always my go to when looking for a hotel. KC recently got 2 of them. This crossroad location is really nice. The only bad thing I can speak of is there is no parking and valet is $24 so be aware. My room is spotless and the customer service here is A1. I checked in for a self care day, git the king suite and I feel like I could live here. Listen, just get me a stove. The tub is long and deep enough for us tall girls, I'm 5'11 and for just fine. Also, know that you are in the freight area so you are by the train tracks. The sound was not a problem for me, actually pretty soothing. Will definitely be visiting again.

Lovely hotel with comfortable bed and pillow. A huge plus that they are pet friendly. The downside is that there isn't a parking lot. Parking choices are street parking or paying $28 a day for overnight valet parking. Another downside is the lack of privacy in the bathroom. While the sliding frosted glass door is attractive it gapped on the edges and did offer a sense of privacy for bathing and other bathroom function.

What an amazing hotel. The front desk staff was super friendly and took the time to point out on a map few great restaurants within walking distance. The room I was in had a modern loft space feeling with exposed brick, mid century modern pieces and a very comfortable bedroom. Selection of different types of pillows on the bed made my sleep much more comfortable. The bathroom was very clean which is the most important aspect of any hotel stay. The hotel offers valet parking but you can park on the street with some restrictions. Also, don't forget to check out some of the art displayed throughout the hotel especially in the lobby. And if you don't feel like exploring the neighborhood grab a drink at the hotel bar located just across from the front desk.

We needed a pet-friendly hotel when driving through on a road trip. This one initially looked interesting and cute, but it ended up being very stressful. The tiny lotion bottle in the bathroom had been half-used but put back out (easy to tell since the bottle is clear). The toilet paper holder was falling off of the wall and kept almost sliding the roll off to the floor. The parking was terrible and there was no place to take a dog (no strips of grass outside the hotel, nothing), so we had to check in, and then get back in the car and drive several blocks until we found a narrow strip of grass. When we arrived, a couple was having a screaming argument at the doors, and then one of them ran off and drove away. Either the same couple or a different couple started a screaming match around 6:00 a.m. the next morning, complete with name calling, slamming things, and sobbing. Between that and the garbage trucks, we couldn't sleep anyway, so we just checked out early.
