The Dott Boss Coffee&Cocktail Lounge was named for a vocalist who was considered the best entertainer in town at Gus' Restaurant&Lounge: )
Cute, little restaurant, bar. Get breakfast included in room. Fun.
Room with a deadbolt that was more than a 1/4" away from locking. Just clinked against the doorjamb. Front desk did nothing. Ridiculous.
The building once housed the offices at the Santa Fe railway and the Kansas City Fairfax airport
Very nice room. Brand new. Walk in shower. $25.00 parking. Walk to power light.

Very nice hotel and good location near, but not in entertainment district downtown. Very comfortable room and on relatively quiet street, at least on this weekend. I moved over from another hotel that was very loud on Main Street. Good restaurant Dots in the lobby and coffee shop less than a block away. Secure parking garage $18 overnight next door or valet service. I did garage. If doing in and out, valet as garage is not in and out. Five star Yelp is not to be confused with 5 Diamond triple A. Still very nice.

Stayed here on a business trip and it's ok, it's a room with a bed. Disappointed on the lack of tv channels, lobby coffee was cold, no coffee stirrers with in room coffee, AC is noisy, fridge is noisy, there is no shower door so water is everywhere. I had to ride the service elevator after I checked in at 4ish in the afternoon because floors were being waxed, timing seemed off? Why not do that at night? My company makes us select this hotel but I wouldn't come here on a personal trip. Now, let's talk about your staff, EXCEPTIONAL! Everyone from the door staff, to maintenance to the front desk staff was amazing! Such a friendly group of people. With all the options in downtown KC I think you can find better options.

I've stayed at this hotel at least a dozen times since 2018. Staff is always pleasant and professional, especially James. The beds are the best. Never had a crappy night of sleep bc the temperature is perfect and the mattress and pillows are tangible clouds. Ordered room service for breakfast a few times; highly recommend their breakfast sandwich.

Place was pretty swanky. Lots of modern charm mixed with history. The staff isn't that friendly or bubbly. They semi look like they hate their job. We tried to extend our stay an extra night but they told us they were sold out. Which was crazy because the entire 3 days we stayed there, we only saw one other couple in the entire hotel. It's a good spot and in downtown. Easy to walk to everything or catch an Uber. The restaurant downstairs was really good!

The hotel completely messed up our reservation after my family drove in to watch our baby for an event. We had called in advance to request adjoining rooms and were told they would make a note on our reservation and accommodate upon check-in. When we arrived, the people at the front desk said they could not give us adjoining rooms or even put us on the same floor. The woman at the front desk was also incredibly rude to my mom and implied that since we had booked through Expedia and not directly with the hotel she wouldn't be putting in much effort. We asked if they could give us late check out or some type of other compensation to mitigate the situation, they also declined. We get to our rooms and we are both in rooms with the ability to adjoin but on different floors Additionally, our shower was constructed incorrectly and would literally flood our bathroom every time we showered. It's one thing to make our stay more difficult with a child, but at least try to migrate the situation and don't be rude. My mom also ran into another family who had the same situation and was also treated poorly. The one bright spot was the downstairs bar and restaurant, Dott Boss. They are all gems and were so sweet and accommodating.

When we arrived at the hotel, there was plenty of street parking (metered). Street parking may have been free on the weekend, but we did not look into it. We weren't able to park in front of the hotel to go check-in because there was a fire truck parked in front of the hotel. Since we couldn't temporarily park in front of the hotel, we opted to park at the parking garage behind the hotel. We parked at the city parking garage. The city parking garage fee was as described by the hotel ($18 per day.) The hotel does offer valet parking for $28. The hotel also refers to another parking lot about half a block from the hotel for $10. The city parking garage elevator smelled of urine. Take the stairwell if possible. We took the stairwell the next day. Upon entering the lobby, I was greeted and thanked for being a member. I was given a little gift bag which included a water bottle and a pack of cookies. I was pleasantly surprised! My room key was ready upon arrival. I am a very new member as I have recently decided to give the IHG brand a go. The hotel has an on-site restaurant which we did not try. We opted for bbq a mile down from the hotel. The lobby boasts a little coffee bar area for a free cup of joe. There's also a small offering of beverages for purchase. The rooms seem to have a black and white theme. We opted for the premium room as it was Mother's Day (gift to myself/pit stop on our long journey). The room was beautifully decorated. A very spacious spacious room too. Room and bathroom was nice and clean. The bathroom tiles did made me dizzy as I sat on the toilet (TMI). The toiletries were of good quality. The view of the city and church was great. The bed and pillows were comfortable. This was a great stay. Great location. Check-in staff was great. I left the keys on the counter for check out because there was no one at the desk. I hope to return again and do a couple nights without the pressure of time dictating life.

Great location to options around downtown. Rooms are clean and a good size. SUPER terrific staff. Them alone make the 5 star review. $28 valet or a parking garage that is basically attached. They also have a great restaurant downstairs that has breakfast and dinner - plenty of options, and even a tiny market in case you need something in a pinch.

I got the most delicious sleep of my life here. Beds were soooo comfortable and blackout curtains worked amazing. We got a corner room with gorgeous views of the city. We're able to extend checkout without issues. Clean and in perfect location. -.5 stars bc there's no parking, valley will take your car to another garage for $28 but unloading in front was easy and hassle free.

Stayed here two nights with some friends! It was a perfect location, very clean, and charming. An added plus was how blackout the curtains were! We were able to sleep in without the sun waking us up! The staff was also very nice! Would recommend!
