I purchased the program in February thinking it would be customized for me and also that my assigned trainer would help me along the way. There is nothing customized about the program (you can get this information off the internet), there is no daily meal plan and no motivation/ check-in from the trainer. I contacted Diana for some kind of a refund, even a partial one would be nice and she said they do not do any refunds. I am disappointed in the program and their customer service.

If you follow this you will definitely lose weight and get in shape. However, there is nothing revolutionary about their diet plan or workout routine. Google "healthy meal plan" and you'd get the same basic gist. Do strength training 3 times a week and cardio... stuff you've already heard before. The main reason I signed up for the program was because I was hoping for encouragement and support. They email you when you first sign up, but if you fall off the wagon and don't email them updates you never hear from them again. Save your money.

I paid a lot of money for their program. They claim they customize the plan to the individual. It wasn't customized at all. They're basically selling what you can find for free on most fitness websites. They specifically say they will give you a daily meal plan. Well all they give you is a sample day and a list of good foods and foods to avoid. The reason I bought their program / plan was for the customized meal plans for my particular needs. Save your money if you know anything at all about fitness and nutrition. If you're looking for a daily meal plan that has variety you won't get it. They actually say to eat the same thing every day. Can you say "burn-out?" If you don't know anything at all, don't want to do your own research, and are okay spending $$$ on monotony then they have some okay info and it might get you there (initially reason for 2nd star). When I tried to talk to them about it they really had a big issue with me even mentioning I was unhappy. Their attitude then brought me back down to 1 star.I'm out over $400 Bottom line- I cannot recommend them.

I agree with the previous reviewers. The online training is a joke. You are sent a cookie-cutter plan that is extremely hard to stick to on your own. It is a much wiser idea to either do personal training one-on-one or even in a bootcamp or boxing class. The type of advice they give you at Hitch Fit is advice that is typically free if you just ask a trainer at your gym. They also do not offer refunds.

This place makes promises in their ads but the owners aren't the ones training. It's a joke and they should be embarrassed. They hire anyone to "train" and zero results plus extreme injuries that aren't addressed. Beware. Just go to the Y and save yourself the trouble.

I feel like this is going to be the fairest review you are going to read on here for the HitchFit program. My wife and I did the couples Bootcamp. We did not lose weight on the program. Long story short, the program is extremely rigid and very difficult to follow, but if you have the ability to do so, you'd probably get into very good shape.I disagree with some of the other posts on here regarding the quality of the diet and exercise plans they provide when you sign up. I feel like they did put some thought into our programs. There was some really good information there that I will continue utilize in my fitness journey. I also don't think it is fair that people are complaining that they couldn't get their money back. Once they put the work into it and send the personalized information packets to you, that is it. There is nothing to return at that point. It's like eating an entire meal at a restaurant. You can't ask for your money back even if you didn't enjoy it like you thought you would. We worked with Micah throughout our interactions in the boot camp. He was very responsive and professional. Whenever I emailed him while I was doing the camp, he usually responded within a few minutes. I did appreciate that, but I felt like he didn't always address the problems or concerns I was having. The diet itself is going to be a bunch of small meals. Everything needs to be portioned out and balanced according to his recommendations. The meals aren't bad, but the program is extremely rigid and I don't think the diet itself if very conducive to weight loss. A lot of the foods he recommended were very high in calories or carbohydrates. I lost weight at first, but I think it was water weight. By week 5, I was steadily gaining weight back. I emailed Micah about this and suggested some adjustments I could make, so I'd be eating less. He was pretty adamant about not adjusting the diet, citing concerns that I might lose weight with less carbs or calories, but that I'd lose muscle gains that way. This brings me to my main complaint with the program. If you read about Micah, he states that his body type is a "slow gainer". I feel like his programs are better suited to people looking to put on muscle the "right way". I don't think he is really an expert at weight loss, because he really never had to deal with that problem. He was really fixated on me "not losing muscle gains", but by week 10, I was heavier than when I had started. He was empathetic, but he didn't really listen to me during our weekly check-ins to help me make adjustments to reach my goals. I feel like he would mostly just cheer me on and urge me to stick with the program. The workouts are really intense. You have cardio sessions multiple times a week and strength training on top of that. It ends up being 2-3 hours of exercise every day. There were two problems that my wife and I had with these workouts. For one, we have full time jobs and a family. Neither of us really had two or three extra hours every day. The other problem was that our bodies weren't really conditioned to jump into 2-3 hours of exercise every day. We did our best to hit our numbers, however.By the end of week 10 (of 16), my wife and I were giving up on the program. My wife had modified it to remove the carbohydrates and focus mostly on cardio. She had lost some weight after she made those adjustments. I actually gained a few pounds because I was trying to stick to the program. There is some really good information in the materials they provide, concerning both nutrition and fitness. I think the program could legitimately work if you are able to make it your absolute, sole focus. I think it could also work very well for skinny people trying to put on muscle. I can't really recommend it for people trying to lose weight, however. My wife and I tried extremely hard on this and the program did not help us lose weight. It's not really the program for busy people or working parents trying to get in shape.

The program by HitchFit will set you up for failure if you're new to diet and exercise. Their nutritional advice and meal programs are the most basic info you can find for free on the internet, such as eating low-fat foods, exercising and eating more natural, whole foods. It's the most basic things you would think a person would need to do to lose weight. Their program isn't anything special - SAVE YOUR MONEY! A lot of these before and after photos look like After and Before photos of someone with carb bloat and water retention.

If I could give this program 0 stars, I would. I had 2 friends sign up for the online training and both had awful experiences but I honestly thought they were not taking the program seriously and knew I would. After paying for the program, I was sent my materials. I was required to do circuits so I actually joined a second gym that was less crowded to ensure I could go from one lift to the next w/o a break. I wanted to take full advantage! After my first week, I emailed Diana. My email consisted of EVERY meal I ate (in a word document), how much cardio I did in the morning, how much cardio I did in the evening, if I completed my weight training and the total amt of calories I ate each day. I have to be completely honest and say that ONE night, I had 1 1/2 pieces of pizza for dinner as that was the only option. When I emailed Diana, I was scolded as I should have been and more determined than ever to follow everything exactly as written. (BTW, the first week I did not lose even a pound even though I did all workouts etc and completely changed diet). The second week, I again emailed her the same chart which indicated NO cheating and my concern that after two weeks I STILL was not losing weight. She told me the reason I was not seeing results was from the cheating 2 weeks prior. I am certainly not a fitness expert but I do know that losing weight is about calories in v calories out and my body is not clinging to 1.5 pieces of pizza for two weeks. I should be seeing some results. (keep in mind I came from a place of drinking at happy hour regularly and eating out almost exclusively for dinner/weekends). After third week, I had still only lost that one pound. I was getting very frustrated and feeling ill. I emailed again with diet/workoute/etc and asked if I was getting enough fiber as I was not feeling well at all and was NOT losing weight. In my response Diana told me I was getting fiber with all the veggies and OATMEAL I was eating. Interesting fact: I NEVER had outmeal since starting hitchfit and had she been reading my emails each week instead of just telling me,"keep on point with your nutrition and workouts and make it happen" she would know this. I told her I was concerned she was not reading my emails b/c if she had, she would know oatmeal was not something I was eating as a source of fiber or at all for that matter. Here is what I got in response, "Due to volume of email it isn't possible for me to download and review everyone's daily eating." That has been copied and pasted from her email. When you sign up for online training, you expect your online trainer to care about your nutrition and workouts, right? And if you dont have time to read/review these, you have too many clients. If what we are paying for is a cookie cutter program, thats fine but be clear about it up front. If you cannot help me modify my program so I am not feeling sick/start seeing resluts and are not able to offer up food substitutions, it seems pretty pointless. Finally, a friend I work with brought in her materials from hitchfit so we could compare. Guess what? EXACTLY the same diet and 95% same workout. We are at least 17 years different in age and have VERY different body types. I have never written a review on yelp before but I dont want anyone else to lose money or think they are paying for an online trainer when clearly, you're paying for a copy of their program.

I agree with Brian, Hitchfit is a complete waste of money! you are better off buying a dog to walk and will get more interaction from the dog. I was very dissapointed. Had to wait for three days to even get an email from them, had to request the program and then never heard anything back. When i asked about the lack of correspondence i was told that it was up to me to initiate all correspondence.
