Hilton Kansas City Country Club Plaza

Great location- we stayed 1 night for a staycation weekday getaway. Pros:Centrally located on the Country Club plaza close to restaurants, shopping and bars. Clean and spacious room. Nicely appointed room, plush bath towels. Comfortable mattress, linens and pillowsCons: only 1 outlet by bed ( other has alarm clock plugged in). Staff at check in was not friendly, causally dressed for a claimed upscale hotel. Lobby coffee pots empty at 8am ( attention to details). Parking $28/ night. TIP: ( Free parking lot across the street) In room small water bottles $2.50 each. We did not use bar or restaurant as so many better options in the area.

Can't explain how incredibly frustrating it is to travel across country with ill child to arrive at a Hilton and not have room ready when promised due to lack of planning by staff...especially on a day (AFC championship game) where they should have placed safeguards to ensure best preparation and customer service. Ridiculous.

I stayed in one of the suites, which had been renovated. It was super nice and one of my favorite Hilton rooms. Having stayed in other Hilton Suites I know it's a standard floorplan, but it was still nice. The parking garage was nice, though I was apprehensive to take my car out just to go to get food. You can walk around to a lot of stores and restaurants so didn't need it anyways. I am surprised at all the negative reviews but maybe not all the rooms are renovated? I liked it a lot and would stay here again. I think people don't realize most Hiltons do not clean daily anymore without it being requested. But being here post-COVID I thought it fared better than most Hilton sites I have been to in the past 2 years.

Beautiful hotel recently renovated so it is very nice and clean. Quiet rooms; still some works needs to be done as they are finishing up the floors but it was not loud. Breakfast is not included has to pay extra when you book. Internet is free and included in the room reservation. The location of the hotel is great I highly recommend staying if you want to be near a shopping center and delicious restaurants!

The good- the staff at counter is friendly. The bad- in spite of asking numerous times for maid service, we received only towels 1 day. (Out of 3 we've been here so far)- parking a pickup is nigh to impossible. Low ceilings played havoc with antenna. Spaces extremely tight and limited. - breakfast was mediocre. No OJ. Flow wasn't well designed. - one elevator was out. On at least one occasion, waited for 7+ minutes for it to arrive. (Only to wait another 3-4 minutes for elevator to garage.)

this place is two stars at best. rooms totally outdated, poor clientele, and staff that doesn't really care. I was in the 'Presidential Suite' which was a joke. tiny bathroom, horrible shower head, 2 towels, no glasses, just two paper cup. closet w no door. 'abbreviated' room service,,,which meant nothing hot. total disappointment for a country club plaza location. so tired of companies using COVID for notdoing things right. Stay instead at the intercontinental across the street...pretty much the same price

Simone at the bar..AMAZING and entertaining! She's worth the stay. She funny, entertaining and knows how to pour the perfect spicy margarita.

Hire cleaning staff for rooms, and new management. Checked in to room and room was a mess blankets were pulled off the bed and not replaced or clean from previous guest. Horrible experience it took 2hrs 30min till finally a non management employee switched room for clean. It look like the manager in charge at the time was never going to send someone to clean the room or even switch our room.

I've been staying at this location for years. I always request a deluxe king suite because it had a king bed, and frosted glass doors separating the sitting area from the sleeping area. This allows the adults and the kids (sleeping on the pull out) at least a little privacy. BUT, this location was recently remodeled. They've done away with the doors between the two areas. So, be aware. The remodel is lovely and and the location can't be beat. I'm just not sure it's worth the little extra money if we aren't getting the privacy doors like we used to.

Worst Hilton I have ever stayed in. Property was run down and could not manage cold weather. Guests had to wear coats and hats inside hotel, hot water was out in some rooms, along with heat.
