Hilton Garden Inn Kansas City/Kansas

I was in KC for a conference and stayed here for four nights. I had a comfortable stay with no issues. My room was very clean, the bed comfortable, and everything was in working condition. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. You do have to request more towels if you stay more than a day or two (they don't clean rooms unless you are there more than 4 days). Parking in the garage behind the hotel was easy.My only complaint is that there was no continental breakfast; if you wanted breakfast, it was a charged buffet of items you get at a typical continental breakfast, and your drinks were served to you rather than you being able to get them yourself. It was a bit confusing how it worked.

ANYONE BOOKING HERE: read the most recent reviews. 15/20 are 1 or two stars. That being said ... you've been warned. This is an AWFUL hotel. Good room. Nice enough hotel. But the fact that the bar in the lobby thinks playing Trump's "state of the union" speech is okay--not a biggie. Hey, I'm a lifelong Republican. But ... The fact the bartender doesn't say anything when the people in MAGA hats are making racist comments to other patrons?Wow. Just. Fucking. WOW. I'm taking my Hilton Honors nights somewhere else. I don't review hotels often but I must give a shout out to Hilton Garden Inn. We stayed here over a weekend for a quick family holiday. I literally spent hours trying to find a hotel that fit all of our needs and had good reviews. I booked and canceled, rebooked, etc. until finally settling on this Hilton Garden Inn. I'm so glad I did. First, we have a lot of 'must have' on our list:- Indoor pool for our toddler (it's also heated!)- Breakfast at the hotel. Breakfast was not free but I paid for a package that included breakfast for both days. It was maybe a $10 upcharge but we ended up spending more than $50. It was definitely worth getting the package. - Close to downtown- Free parking- Clean and affordable. My husband is especially picky about cleanliness and updated facilities but I like to find a balance of clean at around $150 a night. The hotel was very clean, updated, and well kept. This hotel met all our needs and more. The rooms were clean, updated, service was great. Actually, service was beyond great. They let us check in early so we could make our appointment at Auschwitz, breakfast service was great, hotel staff was always friendly and present. All staff wore masks and masks were encouraged throughout, even though there was not a mandate. We didn't have issues with loud guests either and we had adequate parking. It's not well-known but they have a lower level where guests can park. Once I found that out we had no problem finding parking. Overall, I was very happy with the hotel and will return.

Well let's start by saying you need to find a different place to stay. Tried to check in and they had that horribly screwed up. Assistant GM did not want to help. Told us to call Hilton Rewards to figure it out. Then after 30 minutes we got it fixed. 1 room on floor 2 and the other rom on floor 4. Apparently someone has let their dog crap all over the place because the 4th floor smells like a dog kennel. On top of that the keys would not work not once not twice but 3 times. So after my 3rd trip back to the desk, they put us on the 2nd floor as well. The room is not worth the money. The AC took over 10 minutes to kick on. The tv remote is broken, the ice machine on the floor is broken. This is just the first night. Run away as fast as you can!!!!

I loved staying here! The staff is so friendly. This place is very very clean everywhere. The gym smells like new equipment and the indoor pool area is nice also. Rooms are spacious and beds a tree comfortable. I love when hotels have nice pillows too, so 5 stars to that! I stayed at a different hotel last time in KC & this one definitely blew the other place out of the water. Definitely recommend. Another plus, is the co op grocery across the street! Reasonable prices and great deli sandwiches!

Long story short, I booked a 2 room suite and someone smoked in the bathroom. The smell was so foul I had to change rooms and was DOWNGRADED to a standard room and was told they had no more 2 room suites. I'm exhausted. I've been traveling for days-I get ready to turn in for the evening and find stains on the comforter. So so so irritated.

We had a delightful stay at this location. The staff was super friendly and helpful and as a Hilton Honors member, I definitely recommend this location if you need a place to stay in KC.

Usually stay at the garden inn brand as it's my favorite. Good rooms, hot breakfast and Kuerig in the room. The hotel is under renovation, which wasn't information I got until I arrived at 830 pmThey were working on the floor above mine, so I had bits of plaster etc all over the room. Was very dusty and my allergies were going crazy for the 4 nights I was thereI looked ahead and saw kitchen open till 10, so I planned on room service when I arrived. Breakfast area was closed so I asked about food and was told kitchen staff went home at 8? Had to order deliveryYou can use digital key but not for parking, another tidbit of info that would have been useful ahead of time. Had to back out of garage entrance and loop around to front of hotel to get real keyBreakfast was hot but just a buffet in a small room, no made to order eggs. Was just okHotel is in a bad part of town, didn't know that. Also not convenient to anything, so have to drive for dinner etc. I expect better from Hilton.

We came from out of town just for them to give our room away. We asked why they said reward members pretty much can take what they want. But how you gonna give away something that's already booked? I do not recommend this hotel please go anywhere else and please have your receipt. Also they downgraded our room to one King size bed and it's three of us. Smh
