Hillsiders

I love everything about this place! In an old brick building setting in the middle of a mixed commercial and residential block in what I consider the metros most hip and historic neighborhood - Strawberry Hill. The owner Logan is hands on and extremely friendly and welcoming. Great bartending showmanship and top-notch customer service skills. Hooray.The decor is old school with dark lighting. A large bar, a small stage area, 2 booths and a couple more tables for seating. A pool table and a large backyard patio area with a fire pit and a secondary bar for those busy summer weekends.DJ Bazooka Joe was spinning his collection of 45's from Rock and R&B's early days and kept the vibe hopping. I couldn't think of a better musical selection and DJ to keep everyone entertained. The regulars that I interacted with were as friendly as the owner. This will be my first stop and probably last stop on my next trip back to Strawberry Hill for some libations. As good as it gets.

We had the best Saturday fun-day here. Logan and Candice were friendly, fun, engaging, and hilarious. The crowd was chill and friendly. Any bar with cheese balls is a win, and the overall design and vibe of the bar is top notch. I am sad we don't live closer, but we can't wait to go back. Thanks for an awesome day!

Over the years this bar has had a few names.Hillsiders is the newest one, and it fits the neighborhood to a T.It isn't fancy. Just a small bar and a few booths, but it's got character.The locals skew younger with a mix of blue collar, service industry and a laid back punk rock attitude, but everybody is welcome.Cold beers and mixed drinks are available.Sometimes they have a dj or two spin on the weekend. It's not really a "dance" thing per se, but more of a "let's wind down the week and have a good time and vibe" thing.

Cool spot in the Hill. Fun staff and great drinks. It's kind of a hidden gem in the neighborhood

I absolutely love Hillsiders! I have taken several of my friends here that have never heard of StrawbHill and they have absolutely loved it! The owner is a real standup guy as well! This bar is classy and has all the vibes. Digging the back patio with the fire pit right now!

New favorite spot in KC! Great hang. Excellent, friendly staff. Went last weekend for a friend's birthday and had the best time!
