Henry’s Upstairs

What a lovely cocktail bar. Happy hour is near daily from 5-7. They have NA options and so many craft cocktails. Each room is a different theme, and they have a small outdoor patio. The bartender is lovely and can help make recommendations. My mocktail was 5$. So affordable

I've loved coming here since college (I won't mention how many years ago) and I was happy to see it was still popular when I visited Lawrence recently. I love the creative expanded cocktail menu and I got an old fashioned. We enjoyed hanging out in the lounge area (and briefly on the balcony but it was too cold). Definitely will be back again when I'm back in town!

My favorite bar in Lawrence! The interior is warm, hip, and cozy and the drinks are bomb. Try the gay ice water! Also love their pina colada.

This is a unique little place that's worth stopping into for a chill drink or two. Very LGBT-friendly and eclectic on the inside. They have some interesting drinks ($7-10 roughly) and different areas for loungey seating. I don't think this is a great place for large groups as you may not be able to all sit together, but this is nice for small groups.

I'm not in the military but I know enough about the military to spot stolen valor when I see it. And boy does it get me boiling. I was chilling with my boys, being fat and sassy, when I saw this flipizoid idiot walk in and tried telling me he was in the Army Rangers. I KNOW MY RANGERS. He was not one of them. He kept trying to compliment my hips which I was not having that night and could tell was disingenuous because I was so bloated. I pulled him to the side after having to listen to him talk about how many kills he has and let him know that I knew he was a bullshitter. After being called out, he whipped out a night stick and tried to swing at my spine. If he would have made contact, I very well could be paralyzed to this day. Luckily, a staff member stepped in, taking the night stick shot that was intended for me directly to the face. He was then immediately escorted out. And at the end of the night I was the most grateful person on the planet and swiveled my sweet hips out of there feeling safe and knowing what great staff they had in Henry's Upstairs. There were also tons of hot guys who were more than willing to step in and help

The interior design was a little too stark for my liking. I thought the drinks were overpriced for what you got.
