Hawaii Fluid Art

This place was absolutely stunning--both cozy and vibrant at the same time. The atmosphere made it feel like a home away from home. The owner was incredible--so hands-on and helpful throughout the entire experience. She made sure we had everything we needed, engaging with us in such a warm and friendly way while still respecting our privacy to fully enjoy our time. Her understanding and accommodating nature made our visit even more special. Highly recommend this gem!

What a delightful experience this was! My friend and I dropped in on the Saturday before Christmas after we'd had brunch at Atomic Cowboy (great combo hang btw). There was just one other group wrapping up when we arrived so we had the space to ourselves. First I should say it's a really warm and inviting space. The owner and the other young woman helping that day were so nice and wonderful teachers. When you first arrive, they'll ask what kind of art you'd like to do. We both wanted to do the liquid art so she led us over to where the canvases were along with a price menu and once we decided on that, she asked if we wanted to add the resin - we both did. Resin is what makes these really pop and look psychedelic. It does add to the cost but WORTH IT. Then she had us pick out colors. I went with the smallest size which allowed me 3-4 colors. Hot tip: Be sure to have your colors contrasting. When they are too similar, it just doesn't look that good since they blend together. Anyway, they then lead you through the process of adding the colors to the cup and then pouring them artistically on the canvas. Once that's done, you tilt-tilt-tilt to get the design you want. I did add another line of the bright colors to the middle of mine and I loved the effect. They then offered the option of glitter colors, if we wanted, which we both did. I just love what I did and I'm so excited to pick it up next week when it's all dry. Will I make another one when I'm there? Maybe! Anyway, I can't recommend Hawaii liquid art enough and the owner is just so lovely so I hope I can go back again and again.
