Harvey's

Stopped in Saturday around 11 whilst attending an exhibit at Science City. The host was very accommodating, and got us a table without a reservation. I ordered the prime rib sandwich with sweet potato fries. The portion was HUGE! Thank goodness it was, because it was delicious! It was nice to have such a lovely lunch at a historic spot. Pricing was fantastic for the quality, atmosphere, and service. My friends and I will return.

There's no more beautiful place to take a friend than Union Station. I onay wish the food was equal to the grandeur of the place. Fries were cold, sweet potato fries were cold and soggy. A grilled cheese sandwich had no discernible cheese on it. My chicken finger fiend friend didn't care for hers. Here's the best part: the key lime pie had lettuce in it. Little pieces of lettuce here and there ugh. The only food edible on this 4 top was the Gumbo and my Westport salad. The poor waitress was really at a-loss as to what to do. We had to tell her that one entire meal must be comped bc my friend could eat any of it. Such a disappointment.

Brooke J our Wonderful Server was putting in work, I went to checkout "Big Boy" 4014 and so did most everyone in the KCMO.I had the KC Classic and up-charged for Tomato Bisque and lemonade.Classic Dinner Fare, Historic Location with plenty of people watching. Great location for lunch and so much to see and do around.

We had breakfast and thought it was a pretty limited offering. I had the burrito, and did not receive the salsa, sour cream and guacamole listed in the menu. The burrito itself was very dry. My friend had a quesadilla. It was ok, although the tortilla was not griddled or grilled, maybe just steamed? Service was good but not a destination place for me. The best part was people watching in Union Station.

Our food was pretty good, but not amazing. The ambience is the real star of the show with the restaurant sitting right in the middle of Union Station. We requested to sit upstairs for the best view. We came at 2pm on a Friday so it was super empty and our food came quickly. Our waitress, Brooke, was also great and super funny! Don't forget to get your parking validated for the parking garage before you leave the restaurant!

That time I had a seat with history at Union Station in Kansas City, Missouri.This historical station stories takes us through the 100-year history of Union Station through artifacts, photos and interactive information screens.Union Station memories include anticipating the arrival of trains filled with loved ones.Explored Harvey's restaurant where I had the most delicious fried chicken with biscuit bathed in the most tasteful gravy sauce. Omg! And to wash it down I had a glass of red wine as I enjoyed the beautiful architecture of this historical piece of history. The waitress/waiters were delightful and filled with positivity. Loved every moment of it!

Went with the group of NVFC ladies (20+ in our group)to see Union Station so we caught lunch at Harvey's. Our server was exceptional, even made me some southern sweet tea!! It was pretty cool to be sitting in beautiful Union Station eating. Our group had various items, even some told the server to surprise them and no one was disappointed. The portions are fairly large and could be shared. I opted for the gourmet grilled cheese with bacon and fries and it was SO good.

Dining at Harvey's is an enjoyable combination of food and atmosphere. My first meal here has been breakfast, but I could see coming over here for more food and drink. The menus cover all the basics, and you are of course dining in the open in beautiful Union Station. For breakfast, most importantly, coffee comes out quickly. I ordered Classic Chicken & Waffles, and a spicier, Nashville option, is also available. Omelets here are smaller in size but much more thickly filled, and options beyond potatoes (e.g, a big bowl of fruit) are available for a small additional fee. While there's plenty of places in the area for great meals, one here is never a bad option.

Stopped at the Union Station to take pictures of the Chiefs exhibit. We got hungry & stopped here! It was busy, but we still managed to be seated fairly quickly (party of 6). The food was delicious, fresh & nice sized portions. It was clean all around & the waitresses were super nice! It's right by the entrance of Union Station so of course you expect it to be noisy & busy. You can still enjoy your own conversations at your table though. 10/10! Definitely will go back for brunch to try that out!

Ambiance was wonderful Food was horrible, not fresh, quality was 2 out of 10. After spending $50 I still had to go get something to eat.. Service was just ok. Not what I expected from Union station and the price that I paid. Maybe it was a lot better some years ago but they seem to be just barely holding on now.
