Happy Family

Love this place. Hank is such fun, Mrs. Hank is a fine cook and I never miss a chance to eat there when I am in Pittsburg. Of course Hank cooks to when he's not making you laugh.

This place may not look like it on the outside, but it is a great and friendly place on the inside! I came here to get some pho and fried rice to go and who I think was the owner was very nice. He offered me the menu book they have (they have pictures of almost every dish they offer) and I could tell that they treat their customers very well. They were talking with a few of the guests like they were family. It made me happy to see that.As for the food, they give A LOT for what you pay for. My fried rice is going to last me four meals!!! Their meats are just okay in the pho and fried rice (I ordered beef), but for the amount of food you get. This place is definitely worth it! Happy that Pittsburg, KS has a good Vietnamese restaurant to go to. :)

Ordered to go. Food was ready on-time. Soup was piping hot - even after driving back to my hotel. General's chicken was very good too.

Such a great little place that reminds me of Cheers!! When we were paying the owner asked where we were from and I told him KC. He said no wonder. I was like what heck? Do we stand out or something?? So I asked.... He said it was bc they had been there for four years and we had never been in! That's impressive! The owner was super nice, bubbly guy and apparently very aware of his customers! We each had a spring roll and then split the spicy beef noodle soup. Everything came out fast and super hot. The spring rolls were only 99¢, but I will say they were pretty small. The soup was a huge piping hot bowl that was really great. The restaurant was small, but we didn't have any trouble finding a seat. The only thing I'd ding them for was the lid of the fish sauce was dirty. That's one of those things that bothers me. It's just that little extra attention to cleanliness that I appreciate.

The shrimp fried rice is my favorite. I also really like the Crab Rangoon! The owners are super friendly. Great place to eat. Try the Fu. - Jay

Second time getting food here and absolutely the last! The restaurant is filthy to start and the food is awful. Ordered online and was told it would be ready in 30 min, arrived 30 min later only to wait another 40 for the food. The ch I own tasted like it had been soaked in dish cleaner. Dumplings were over fried that we nearly broke a tooth with how hard they were. The food had zero flavor

Love Hank and Happy, such a unique spot, real family owned business and so delicious everytime!

Food is SO good and they are so sweet! They are typically busy so it usually takes a bit to get your food but definitely worth it!

Great beef pho - had never had before but had heard good reviews. Hunan Chicken & Sesame balls were good as well. Will be adding to rotation of best handful of restaurants in Pitt.

Generals Chicken was like mush. The coating wasnt crispy, it was like uncooked batter. Fried rice was meh. Dumplings were ok.
