I love the concept, but I must say that I had an unpleasant donation experience.I called the Restore donation coordinator, and confirmed that they would accept 16 of the doors I removed from the house I'm renovating. I followed up this conversation by sending a picture of the doors to the coordinator, who said they were interested in the doors.I was going to arrange for their free pickup, but it turns out this is quite inconvenient. They schedule based on your zip code, which dictates the day of pickup. Then, the pickup window is the entire day. So you have to be home and waiting for the pickup on a random weekday, the entire day. If you work, you just can't make this work. The lady told me that instead, you can drop off the doors at the donation center.Today, I borrowed a trailer, loaded up the doors, and took them to the store. At the store, the man told me at that he could not take my doors, without even looking at them. They don't want doors, they can't sell doors, and they definitely can't take as many doors as I brought with me. Not to mention, the man was standoffish and acted like my bringing in a donation was an inconvenience or something. This would be fine with me if I had not already been told they wanted them and to bring them in.So yeah, pretty hard to make a donation to this place. It was a waste of time this afternoon, and it's a shame these matching doors in decent condition now have to go to the dump.

Great place to shop if you are planning on saving $$ on remodeling your home. Happened to stop by around 2 pm looking for an electric stove. Found A LOT more!! Kitchen cabinets and pantry. Very nice personnel helped load the heavy stuff I bought. A complete blessing to the community.

The only reason I don't give this location a 5 star review is that I recently relocated to Kansas from Oregon. My love of the Portland-area ReStore locations remain. However, as I spend more time in Kansas, I hope to find more treasures like the ones found in Oregon. Their mission, their prices & their selections are worth the time & the effort!

Awesome professionals, clean store, convenient location. Many types of natural stone, high-end appliances, and louvered plantation shutters. Higher prices, but for really good stuff ($1000 for built-in fridge that matches cupboards, retails for $5000!).

I am very displeased with this place. I went there today to look for plywood and was looking around and went into a employee area by mistake which the sign was very confusing anyway. One of the employees treated me as if I was inferior by being very rude and pointing out the sign to me as if I was an idiot. He then proceeded to follow me around as if I was trying to steal something. Then as I left he gave me a evil look and then took a picture of me with his phone. I am very pissed about that. To me that is poor customer service and I will never go back there again. Well done dude you just lost a customer because of your poor customer service. I wanting to give no stars but it made me post stars. I honestly believe that they deserve no stars after that.

Jackpot!!!! I forgot about this store until I saw it on my way to another thrift store today. I am so thrilled that I stopped. I landed 4 old plastic shutters that I plan on repainting and mounting for a headboard. $10 headboard, I ROCK!!! They have an eclectic mix of things. Everything from ceramic tiles, glass block, ceiling fans of every metal and color, old doors and windows. This store is stockpiled with remodeling stuff that people dropped off during and after their remodeling projects. There are cabinets, furniture, anything and everything you'd want to redo for a vintage home such as mine is turning into. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!!

I have been a customer of habitat for humanity for over twenty years, and this is the first time I have encountered bad customer service. I feel if I was not a person of color I would have been treated better. I went in to purchase a refrigerator and I asked Jimmy if it had been tested, he told me it was fine. After paying a service $75.00 dollars for delivery, I waited two days to let the device settle a then plugged it in. It turned out to be defective and did not power on. I called and spoke to the manager Rob, and he told me they would exchange it. I went in yesterday and told him I needed to set up pick up of the one at my house, bring it back, and pick up the replacement. He sold it yeastetday , and I went in today to let him know I had made arrangements. He was not in until later in the morning and Jimmy told me it was not his problem with an sour attitude, I returned one hour later and met with Rob. I asked him why he sold it after I had talked to him the day beforeAnd why he didn't even bother to call me, he told me that it's not his job to call me. I asked him why did he take my phone number with no intention of calling me, once again he was aggressive and told me that it is not his job. I then told him I would be writing a review on the disrespectful bias treatment I got and he said and to go ahead because his bosses would agree with him, good thing I recorded our confrontation, because people of color deserve better treatment.

There has been some very strange pricing since moving to this location. Some items are reasonable but many are extremely overpriced even compared to retail. Today I saw a single rusty drill bit marked $10. Seriously? It looks like the paints are the only consistent pricing they have anymore, which is sad.I've been going to this restore since they were in KCK. I fully believe in Habitat for Humanity and the great things they do. I have preferred buying used from them rather than buying new just for the fact that it's going to a good cause, even if prices are comparable to retail. I have also donated many used items to Restore for this same reason.I have been to this new location 3 or 4 times with the same finding every time. I'll give it another try in a few weeks before completely calling it quits.
