Gringo Loco

A slightly odd layout for a grocery store with ramps connecting 3 different levels. I found the bakery and produce sections to be underwhelming but a large butcher counter and bonus points for having a taqueria counter for carry out only. I bought some pastor meat and some juices, but ultimately drove down the street to finish my shopping needs at a larger Mexican grocery store 15 blocks west.

Not only do they have your traditional groceries, they have a meat market on the side. They also serve cooked food and fresh salsa. This is the only place I go to get my salsa now. I love their selection.

Wow quite the experience! The old Northeast neighborhood is transformed into an extensive array of different populations. No longer visible is the old Apple market. Costantino's is now the go to store, as well as these smaller ethnic stores like gringo Loco. I found the variety interesting and I ended up purchasing a delicious ice cream bar... La michoacana. This is a good secret so go get one!
