Green Room Burgers & Beer

The service at the green room is fantastic! We were served by the bartender, Ashton, she is great, funny, and very knowledgeable of the food. As far as the food, the appetizers, cheese curds and chips and Queso were excellent! The burgers were pretty good. Cooked as ordered, I enjoyed the meal. I recommend this place.

Never knew this was behind the sun fresh until two days ago! The sign out front says best burger in KC - not sure about the absolute best, but it was a really delicious smash burger. The "regular" burger is a double but I thought it was a great portion size if you had just walked in a parade and or skipped breakfast. The vibes inside were interesting - very limited seating and people kept walking in from a back area that maybe had more tables. To quote my friend "I feel like if I were 65 I would come here" and "This feels like a place to come get a drink after a funeral service" so do with that what you will. I was disappointed to not get to try the cheese curds (they were out at 2 on a Saturday) so I will return for those!

The chief was very nice and came out to talk to us after our food was cooked. I could tell he is passionate about his food and I could taste his passion by the first bite of my food. The spicy Philly was amazing!!

I originally went just to have a Cocktail, but ended up having dinner also. Kate the bartender was wonderful. She is the reason we had dinner there that night. The atmosphere was great. I will be back

Not much to say, best beer and burgers in Westport. Cool bartenders, cooks, and a good vibe all around.

Best of Burgers Green RoomI have been coming to Green Room since their conception, that's probably give or take a good five years, and the burgers consistently have remained creative but true to midwestern palates, roots, and tradition. And this place brews its own beer and is attached to an improv club...how rad is that?!For me specials are always, no better word for it than, special and Green Room gets that right providing a burger of the day or some type of kitchen driven sammy listed on a chalkboard behind the bar, which is where I always reside. The Papa Louie's beers are also listed on an adjacent chalkboard behind the bar as well and at any given time lists around 3. They also offer other drink and beer specials daily, the last night I popped in was $3.50 Sierra Nevada Pale Ales and a Bogo Burger Special, I am not ashamed to admit I was tempted to get for myself after a few brews. When going to Green Room just don't expect to be able to order your meat a hair shy of well-done, cooked through is just what they do. And this is where I just lost a lot of people but hear me out for a second, the burgers and buns are so buttery, the meat obviously not the highest quality however, fatty remains juicy even with a fully through cook. This also allows a nice bark or crust to form from the flat-top on the outside of the patty, those crunchy bits are the best part of a burger. On my last visit I decided to be a little creative myself and mix n match some ingredients to essentially create my own burger. I may have made that sound a bit more complicated then it was, all I did was ordered the black and bleu burger without the bleu cheese and added goat cheese, the blackening seasoning on the burger gave it spice and flavor but the crisp iceberg and creamy goat cheese mildy tamed it so it wasn't too intense. For my side I stuck with my tried and true...tots baby! I absolute want to marry The Green Room's tator tots, they always have the perfect texture, the right amount of grease and are always seasoned bomb! If you're in Westport and looking for a fun lunch spot or night out (try to catch an Improv show next connected next door and order drinks and food from the bar all night) then Green Room is for you. The burgers are always the right choice next to a cold beer-of any kind but, if meat isn't your preferred protien they have veg. options and a mean veggie burger also sandwiches and salads round out the menu as well as a fun take on slider packs. I highly reccomend the Green Room and hopefully can keep coming back for another 5 years.

What a nice Sunday afternoon to grab a burger & beer with our beloved Golden Retriever. There is a nice small patio. No view, but comfortable. We aren't big beer drinkers so cannot attest to the beer quality, but enjoyed the one we got. We love discovering new places in KC for us to enjoy and spread the word.

This review is from 3/22/19. I stopped in during Taco Week to wait for my sister to get off work. I had a Long Island with Sprite while I waited. Kate made an excellent drink that I was still sipping on it when my sister got off work. We never made it to El Fogon; Kate talked us into staying and having dinner. My sister and I ordered an appetizer (3 sliders BOGO) for our meal. The meat was a bit dry, I wouldn't order it again. However, the food the other patrons ordered looked delish.I will be back to try more items off the menu.

Best burger we've ever had. Service was fantastic. The whole atmosphere was top notch.
