Green Lady Lounge

I visited KC and wanted to listen to some live music during a weeknight and this place was a gem! I am so glad I had the opportunity to go! The beautiful red interior was SUCH a vibe! So rich and beautiful, seem like something out of NYC! Rich deep red velvet booths, a BEAUTIFUL bar, and an intimate stage where the band was set up. I did not have any food, this was a great place to visit AFTER dinner, but I did have a delicious signature cocktail which was fantastic! I could count the number of people who were in this gem on a Wednesday night and I will definitely say it is a best kept secret. I was sitting so close to the band with an unobstructed view, I could have touched the musicians. There is a cover charge of $10 but for 2 hours of live music that was a steal! I will definitely put this on my hit list to visit every time I go to KC! The doorman, Mike(?) I was so personable and friendly! Such a sweetheart! If you are in KC, please support the Green Lady Lounge, such a cool spot!

The best bar on earth and probably in the Galaxy. Love dark spaces. Very elegant and vibey. . No more needs to be said.

The three things we always look for in these types of locales are food, services and entertainment and all three were on point! Love the ambiance, drinks were average price and good, three pieces band gave a great performance! We will definitely return to the Green Lady!

What a cute place! We came here in the middle of the week and were able to enter right away. ($10 cover!) It is VERY dark inside but once your eyes adjust, you'll see a room stretching far back. Right as you enter is where the artists were performing. The music was quite loud here but did get quieter further into the place. There's some couch type seating there. In the middle, one wall has the bar and the other side has booth style tables and tables against the wall with chairs. We were able to find a table for 2 pretty easily. Overall the vibes were awesome. The music was great and I had a good time there. It seems the musicians play for 45 minutes, then take a 15 minutes break. The reason for the 4 stars is because the drinks were very subpar. They're all in the low teens price range but was pretty disappointed since the place was very nice. The old fashioned we ordered was basically watered down whiskey with a lemon peel inside, tolerable at best. The other drink we ordered was way too sweet. Perhaps the other drinks are better. I would still be interested in checking out the place again! I think if you frame the place as a jazz venue that serves okay drinks instead of a nice cocktail bar that has jazz music, then it's a good experience.

Not as many food options as I would have liked but the jazz music is really good here. Great for a girl's night, not too loud to the point where you aren't able to catch up with friends. Overall a pleasant experience

I have heard about Green Lady Lounge for a few years but have never made it there. I'm SO HAPPY I finally went. The $10 cover is well worth it, and honestly likely keeps the "riffraff" out. This place is swanky so we expected crazy drink priced but that was not the case. Drink prices were reasonable and the music was awesome, especially upstairs. Thankfully we were able to get a table for two but getting there earlier for a large group seems like a good idea. 10/10 for this run evening at Green Lady!

This was on the top of my list of places to visit for my first time in Kansas City and it should also be yours. Very busy and you have to keep your eyes peeled for a seat, but once you're situated it's incredible. I would still be interested in checking out the place again! Always an absolute pleasure coming to the Green Lady Lounge. Sipped on a Negroni listening to the awesome three piece band last night. The vibes are immaculate (check out a pic of this painting) and the staff was so friendly and helpful. Can't wait for the next time!

One of my favorite spots in what is a very cool city. Drinks are just fine but super affordable. What's important about this place is the chill vibes and beautiful music. Wait staff was friendly as well.

Just beautiful. This place really captures the ambiance of what a speakeasy should be. Classy, dimly lit, swanky, great craft cocktails and wonderful music. I loved all the antique lighting and paintings that adorned the walls & ceilings. A must stop while visiting KC. If you enjoy jazz, you must try this place out!
