Some country fresh air and farm fresh foods are generally a winning combination. Getting out into the land where the grass-to-asphalt ratio is higher has benefits beyond just your palate, and that's where Green Dirt Farm can't miss.As you roll into the bucolic Weston area, Green Dirt is super easy to find, just off Highway 45. The stone building houses their small cafe & shop with a generous array of outdoor seating, because what better way to commune with nature? The cafe offers a light menu, like the charcuterie board options (you should), some sensational sandwich options (you could), and even their artisanal ice cream (you must).Green Dirt has been offering up their sheep's milk cheeses and cheese-blended products for a couple of decades. The charcuterie boards vary in size and additions, but the sheep's milk cheeses are generally cast as stars in those shows. Local honeys, locally sourced fruits, and other tasty options dot the boards. I would also suggest a sandwich, such as the Don't Go Bacon My Heart. This delight puts sheep's milk cheese with crumbled bacon, hoisted atop grilled sourdough, and served with a local jam on the side. DEE-lish.The staff is super friendly and you might catch the owner and concept creator, Sarah, on a visit. Grab a bottle of Missouri wine, a highly underrated local agri-product, or maybe a locally brewed glass of beer, find a shady spot, and enjoy the farm fresh goodies. And then add in some ice cream. Because yes.

We got there in the nick of time, judging by the crowds of families and folks that popped in. I ordered the Cuban, and it was delicious, just wish there was a wee bit more ham. The flavor was really good though. I liked the pickled onion and spicy mustard combo. My mom got the Reuben and she said the kraut was a bit unusual, but fine and also wished there was more meat. They didn't have chips when I was there, but they had a nice garlicky peppercorn creamy, whipped cheese with 5-6 Wheat Thin Type crackers and a house-made spicy pickle disc/chip thing. We ate inside since bees and other flying insects were outside. They offer a few dining tables and chairs for indoor dining, but they have more outside. The ice cream (Vanilla Bourbon Pecan) we shared was pretty good--I was told it was NOT made with cow's milk, but sheep's milk instead. (Makes sense given this establishment).

Green Dirt was a nice place to have lunch on a sunny fall day in Weston, MO. It's perfect for lunch with sandwich, salad and soup options. There's also ice cream for dessert. My wife and I shared the Cuban sandwich and the PB&J. The Cuban was super good and my favorite. While the PB&J was worth trying because it had Green Dirt cheese on it, but I'd opt for a different sandwich next time. From what I hear, they're all good.I liked how they give you a little side of goat cheese and crackers with every sandwich.

This was the cutest tucked away cafe! Had a rustic fun farm feel! To start off, right when you walk in the staff is so nice and welcoming. Everyone was so helpful and sweet and full of recommendations. We even got a little explanation of the cheese board we ordered! The food was so good, I love me a good cheese! And it's fresh sheep cheese made on the farm, yum. The seasonal cheese board was the perfect dish for us 4 girlies. The dirt cheese (their specialty award winning cheese was obviously the best!!) I was really pleased with my sandwich as well, I got the Stoney one and the pickled orange carrots and garlic parm cheese was just a good combo! Also the cream soda that they offered bottled was fantastic!!! They also offered wine samplings and farm tours, but you have to schedule in advance, very cool touch though!! They even had a merchandise area filled with cheeses, honey, butter, shirts, and an adorable baby onesie we had to get for my 2 month old! Will definitely be coming back in the later fall!

We stop here while in Weston to look around. Unfortunately we had already eaten somewhere else. The food here looks delicious. I would love to tour their farm when we return in the future. We ordered their ice cream to enjoy before heading to a wine tasting. Staff was friendly and was prompt in service. Building is cute and they have lots of outdoor seating to us to enjoy our treats.

Great service, delicious food, and nice area for wine tasting + cheese board eating. We brought our dog, so we enjoyed eating outside on a crisp autumn day. The cheese tasted great--would love to eventually try a scoop of ice cream! Wish it was a little more affordable. Pretty small portions for an expensive price. Nice to see a farm to table location though and great stop for a little weekend getaway!

Great place. Super busy even at around 1:45, but we enjoyed the time outside on a picnic table. Sandwiches were good, nice touch of crackers and cheese on the side. Ice cream for dessert from High Hopes. So good we forgot to take pics of that!

You absolutely must go to Green Dirt Farms on your trip to Weston, and you must do a tour of the creamery! When you do a tour, you check in at the store/restaurant, and then your tour guide leads the caravan of cars to the creamery a short drive away. Warning your car will get dirty on the gravel roads! Keep your eyes peeled for sheep and other wild life in the distance while you drive. You get to go on a tour of the sheep barn, the milking area, and the cheese kitchen. The whole thing lasted about an hour and a half. Our tour guide June was awesome! So informative and energetic. We also got to hear from Eliza, who is the daughter of the owner, who happened to be in the barn during the tour. You can really tell how passionate and knowledgeable she is. After the tour, you get a box of cheeses to taste! Their cheeses are award winning so of course they were divine! We loved the fresh cheese so much that we bought more to take home with us. They give you a 10% off coupon to use after the tour too! Highly recommend adding Green Dirt Farms to your Weston trip!!

Green Dirt Farm is such a fun spot to visit if you find yourself in Weston. Firstly, I love visiting this part of MO, there's a lot of fun stuff to do, whether you're there to explore a pumpkin patch, go bourbon tasting, or just to shop the cute downtown, there's a ton to do. That being said, we were recently there to spend the afternoon with some friends and we discovered Green Dirt Farm. I loved that it's a bit off the beaten path, and it feels rustic, but has loads of charm. I also love that it's another great food option in the area. We stopped in on a really cold January day, there was snow on the ground, and it was cozy inside. I could see how returning in the spring or summer months might bring some really enjoyable outside dining so you might keep that in mind if you find yourself exploring Weston on a nice day. We each ordered a sandwich and got a grilled cheese for our kiddo. It all was good. I do think if you go here opt to go big with the grilled cheese or the reuben. My cold turkey sandwich was good, but I preferred the other choices that my family made. What I did love was that every sandwich came with a little sampling of their cheese spread which is absolutely divine. You might ask why four instead of five stars? Simply because I just thought the price was a bit obscene for a sandwich. Each meal will put you back between 12-18 dollars depending on what you choose and I'd say 15 is about the average price. They don't have a kid's menu so this price is the same for kiddos, and doesn't include any sides. Now, I will say, it's not crazy to have a 15 dollar sandwich these days, but I did think the prices here were steep for what you got. I think after tip, drinks, and a few bags of chips we spent around 60 dollars for our family of three to have lunch. Now, will I return? Absolutely! And I look forward to it. Will I bring the whole family and do lunch again? Probably not. I think for me this is likely a better spot to visit with friends for happy hour, get a big cheese board and share a bottle (or two) of wine.

This place is a great roadside stop on the way to Weston. Food is fresh and packed with flavor. Walk up ordering is easy and they bring your food to one of the many tables spread throughout the charming stone building or picnic tables under the trees outside. Pick 2 tomato soup with Wooly One grilled cheese is my go to here, and they give a little langiappe with every plate - yesterday some freshly made spicy pickles and a scoop of fresh herbal cheese with a few crackers. When the weather is nice it's great to sit outside and enjoy your soup, sandwich and drink. They have a number of wines and charcuterie boards available as well that many seem to like.I look forward to returning whenever I'm in the Weston area.
