Go Chicken Go

I've been here repeatedly 3 x back to back and they give the same service and the same food repeatedly... This place is a hands down 10/10 . I've very happy I found them. They serve great food and give good service. I'm looking to always return. I come from the go chicken go on troost...it's not the same. But this place will take care of all your hunger needs.

This is my go to place for chicken is KCK. Food quality is excellent, no hormone pumped up chicken here. Sides are limited but good. Hot Sauce is staple that I buy bottles to take home with me. Small table inside but it's mostly just for waiting for orders. Drive through is the way to go.

Chicken really didn't have any flavor. It was bland and barely warm. I was expecting the chicken to be hot and have spices and burst with flavor..umm not so much. This was my first time visiting.

Hey Everyone,It's so unfortunate I'm having to re-visit and write another review so I'll make it brief. There are 2 stars because there's no half...otherwise it'd be 1 1/2 stars. Simply put, step it up! Lukewarm, mediocre food doesn't cut it for me. I'm speaking of the State Ave location in KCK. It seems the past several times I've stopped through the chicken and gizzards have not been fresh. I always ask for a timeframe that the food has been out of the grease before I purchase it. When I am given an acceptable time and told the chicken is fresh, that is what I expect. I'm highly disappointed. I am a lifetime customer, dating all the way back to the 'Original' location on Brown St in KCK (the Milk House was next door). I've given more than enough chances for them to get it right. Now, I'll have to go back to THE Best location, 7th Street. Enough said.

GCG has been a staple for the KC area for such a long time. The food is always fresh and I love how they fry their gizzards. Also, the underrated ROLLS. So good! Any time I'm visiting, this is on my hit list!

They promptly opened at the advertised time, thank you!The gentlemen on the front counter who was nice and genuine. I asked him how the chicken sandwich was, he said it was okay but a pain to make. I asked him how it was to Popeyes, he stated Popeyes was better. I appreciate the honesty But I ordered the 2 PC mixed chicken, it came with mash potatoes and roll. I received my order within a few minutes. I asked for hot sauce, I was told they had "G-sauce", but it would be .50 cent. It was ketchup and jalapeño mixed. As far as the spice level, it was .05 out of 10. Very fast service, but perhaps because they just opened. Now the chicken, it was fresh and hot, again perhaps because it just opened. I would compare it to grocery store/gas station fried chicken. Has a nice crunch, but lacking the seasoning. The mash potatoes has a yellow gravy, which in assuming is chicken/turkey gravy. The roll is soft and buttery on the inside. Overall, I don't know how they are during peak hours, but if you want fast chicken, without having to go to a gas station or grocery store, this would be it. If you like the familiar flavors keep with KFC or Popeyes. Would I come back? Probably not.

I have had several positive experiences with this location. The chicken is really good, and surprisingly different from KFC and Popeyes. The chicken gravy is really tasty and is peppered. The potatoes are kind of pasty though, and need a little cream, milk, or butter. Their desert selection is great, better than any other fast food place out there!

Older facility, but the chicken is really good. I mean like grandma used to make. I especially like the gizzards. They stay busy because everything tastes great!

Gotta love Go Chicken Go, it's fast and yummy at the KCK location, love the dark meat snack pack, and when I don't feel like getting out and driving there it's great delivered through Door Dash too!!!

Chicken was so dry that couldn't even eat it. Was either overcooked or just old. So 17 dollars for a little mash potatoes, coleslaw and two rolls. Waste of money.
