We made it back to Glo Wild for the 2024 rendition! TL;DR: it's STILL fantastic!!What a great way to spend an autumn evening! So many differently-themed light exhibits! Great souvenirs and concessions! Super easy route to walk through the front west half of the zoo! It's mind-blowing how many lit-up features there are! On top of the "sculptures" (??), there are so many other lights draped through trees, over buildings, and around the paths! Everywhere you look is something fun to witness and admire!Thank you to the team who takes the time to put this on - this has quickly become one of our family's favorite fall traditions!

This is such a good time, the craftsmanship is amazing!! We didn't wait in line for the train or for Santa. It took our group about an hour to walk through and see everything. I would definitely go back if they have this again.

Ok, you HAVE to go to this. I feel like the KC Zoo has really found something here to attract people in what used to be the off-season. We went last year and were just blown away, and feel the same way after a repeat trip in 2023. The lanterns are beautiful, carefully constructed, unique, and easy on the eyes. There's something happening at all times, they really do it up as you walk through this. I have to say, I also love that you walk through this. There are enough drive through light displays around the holidays and as the resident dad of the family, I end up driving and basically missing everything. This isn't particularly holiday themed, it's more of an exploration around the world with various countries and cultures represented. However, if you wait long enough, they open up a holiday display area near Australia, including Santa Claus on several nights throughout December. Glowild gets really busy, so if you find a warm night in November and December, particularly around the weekends, expect to be FULLY immersed in the masses. I could do without that part, so we'll plan to do this midweek next year. They really do it up, and it's worth the ~$20 charge per person. There are also family four packs and various discounts available if you watch for them. Lastly, the way this started, you had to buy an exact date with your ticket, but I believe they've freed us all by allowing more "buy tickets for any date of your choosing" while Glowild is operating. I much prefer that because the weather is incredibly unpredictable during Glowild's schedule, so it makes it easier to go when you want to go.Well done and can't wait to see how they keep evolving it.

Glo Wild is great for families, but even without children, you're never too old for this experience! It's relaxing to stroll through the zoo after hours and see glowing exhibits from many continents/countries around the world. The displays are vibrant and colorful, perfect for a photo op. You can stay as long as you like, and I'd take advantage when the weather is the perfect fall temperature. It's not too pricey and a very wholesome activity.

Amazing time at Glowild. The one mile walk features spectacular lanterns of animals, plants, flowers, landmarks, and symbols. It's an unique and immersive experiences. Even better with scooters. The carousel was free with admission. That was fun. Adults can be kids again. It's starting to be a KC tradition fast. It's definitely fun for kids and for old adults like myself. Good for date, group, or whatever night you want. No animals were shown since it's dark and afterhours. However, We did like the acrobats and them showing off their skills. They're so talented. Can't wait to see what happens next year.
