Gizmo's Tavern

So, with nothing better to do on a rainy afternoon and evening I made another trip up to Gizmos in Smithville tonight! And while I was there, I dined on an entrée of seared salmon. You see they take some spinach and artichoke hearts along with grilled onions pistachio, Orzo, grape tomatoes, chimichurri, and Chile crunch. Cook all that to Perfection and put a lovely piece of seared salmon on top of it. And all I can say is it was completely delicious. Good flavor to the orzo and the bed it made, and that Salmon was particularly good. It was perfectly prepared, flaky and moist. Then there was the heat! It came from the chili crunch, and it brought the whole dish together!Well done Gizmos Tavern!Well done indeed! On a wet damp night, I'm filling an empty void with a delicious plate of salmon in Smithville Missouri!

We recently visited Gizmos Tavern for a birthday celebration with a party of nine, and overall, it was a great experience! We hit up their happy hour and were impressed by the fantastic deals. The appetizers were delicious, and the drink specials were top-notch. The ambience was lively, and the music was right on point, adding to the fun atmosphere. The only downside was the service--while understandable given how busy it was, our drinks were left empty a bit too often. Despite that, we had a great time and would definitely return. Four stars!

We came in on a busy Friday evening, and were seated quickly. Our waitress was attentive without being overbearing. I got the Double Smashburger and it was really good. Not dried out, like a lot of smash burgers tend to be. My wife got the wings and said the were great.It's in a cool old brick building in downtown Smithville. Great all brick wall and exposed high ceilings and lots of TVs with sports, so I can see this being a great place to watch a Chiefs game!

Damn! I really wanted to like this place! The first time I was here we waited an hour for our food. I thought it was because of the fact that they had only been open for two weeks. So we came back tonight and we got seated at 6:44 and at 7:39 still did not have out appetizer. This won't fly and there is no coming back for me.

We went here the other day with friends and we all had different dishes.Everyone was happy with what they got. I got the beef short rib with mashed potatoes instead of polenta,the only thing I wasn't crazy about was they put au jus over the meat and potatoes which made the potatoes runny. It would have been better if it had a gravy over it instead to make it thicker and not make the mashed potatoes so runny,otherwise very good. Service was very good also.We will go here again!!

Our party of 4 went early, around 5:30, so we were seated right away. We ordered cheese curds, calamari, lamb chops, steak, and shrimp pasta. Everything was cooked perfect and we all enjoyed our food. Service was a little slow but will improve with time as they had just opened. Plus we were in no hurry. Highly recommend and we'll be back!

I hope it gets better. Maybe my expectations were too high. Service was poor. No draft beer. Food was okay. Love the space but not yet ready for prime time.

Went to Gizmos for dinner. We had great food and great service. Shout out to Robin--she went over the top and made a special sauce just for me. Thanks, Robin.

Our waiter was amazing, he was very friendly and attentive! The food was worth the slight wait. Try the wings, they won't disappoint! We will definitely be going back!
