Bartenders were nice & took good care of our group. We went to play a couple games of pool with the girls & ended up staying for several hours. Pool tables were basically brand new & girls were having fun so we just finished the night there. Jen, Tricia, & Mimi were entertaining.

Amazing ambiance, the service was great, the food was okay. The bartenders were awesome and friendly.

I liked the friendly, cheerful service at this clean and basic bar. They offered two pool tables, a juke box, 11 beers on tap, plenty of TVs, a patio area, a shared parking lot (east of the bar), and daily drink specials. There was no kitchen, but free popcorn was available, and it was okay to bring in outside food. Drink prices were also reasonable (well drinks for $4.00). Overall, very nice.

I had a blast at Gilhoulys. The bartenders were beautiful. Couldn't seem to win a game of pool but the locals were extremely welcoming and awesome. If you're new to the west 39th st area I would highly recommend this bar.

We came over here as we were waiting for our table at bob sushi. The bar had the door opened and the only free table that seated there was next to the door. It was a bit chilly that day and tried to stick it out but decided I needed that door shirt. I politely asked the bartender if I could shut the door cause we were cold, but she gave me this 'WTF" look and said ok. Then the other bartender said under his breath "what the hell!". I mean if they didn't want to close the door they could have said "if you do it's gonna get really hot" which it did immediately after I shut it. If I would have known that I would have just left the door open, which I did after it got super hot. But that's all it takes. Just communicate that to me. You were able to ask me what I wanted to drink and ask if I wanted to start a tab. Come on guys. Being nice and showing respect isn't that hard.

OK one night bad the next. The blonde female behind the bar on Monday September 14th apparently couldn't be bothered and acted like it. I'm guessing I was overcharged for my beer as well. A dive bar, but not in a good way. Won't be back.

Came in because it's a pub and wanted to celebrate st pattys. We were having a great time at the bar with the girls working until the manager or owner came in and made the environment so uncomfortable. The way he spoke to the girls bartending was so disrespectful. We hung out for awhile but he continued to berate the employees so we paid our tab and moved onto another bar. I wanted to give this a good review because the service was so excellent however I don't support someone treating their staff that way. We won't be back

Hell yes bitch. Great bar tender. Pool tables. Great music reasonable priced. Oh and it's Irish so if u can't drink like an Irishman then just pound sand and go drink at your mamas house on the front porch like the bum you are. The big dogs will be here. Tara the bar tender - sick shirt.

Witnessed a passed out drunk woman get carried out of the bar by 5 men. I was brushed off by the petite brunette bartender who insisted it was "ok" because the men put her in their car. Bottom line, they wanted the passed out woman off the property. Let's hope she got home safe. Wouldn't recommend this place to any women.
