Game Day Chicken Wings Burgers & Fish

Fantastic! First time today, got the 1/2 lb basa strips with the greens. Came with a buttered/toasted roll, 2 tarter sauce, and hot sauce. Shared with my wife and ate every bite. Fish was fresh fried, great crust. Greens were better than mine - excellent flavor that went perfect with the fish, ham hock flavor and hint of cinnamon. Food came hot! And a nice clean back patio to eat. Next time we'll phone in our order. Great work - we'll be back.

A pleasant surprise! At this time, they are only serving carry out or patio dining. We elected for a shaded patio table at the front of the restaurant as it was 95 degrees outside. We went in and ordered Buffalo wings, basa fish, and sides: potato salad (homemade!), sweet potatoes, mac and cheese, and greens (they have cabbage mixed with them). The wings were the right amount of heat. The fish was fried perfectly and delicious. The tartar sauce is great!! The greens have just a touch of spice and are flavored well. The potato salad is a little mustard based but delicious with big chunks of potato. The Mac and cheese is yummy with almost what seems a touch of Dijon. The service was nice and they brought the food to us outside from the kitchen. I was so hungry I forgot to take pics! Recommend to check it out. I can't wait to go back and try the shrimp dishes and the burgers!

When I first read the name "Game Day Chicken Wings" I figured I was going to pop in and get some wings and fries, but once I took a peek at the menu and some photos of what other folks had tried I KNEW I had to try a po boy, and I'm glad I did. If you are wondering where all the good soul food is in Kansas City, the answer is right here. This is hands down the best po boy I've had in KC, the shrimp was fried to perfection, the bread toasted, and the fries perfectly seasoned. When I had all my food and was ready to go, the owner asked if I needed some tartar sauce on the side and I thought nah - I'm good, but she said "it's homemade" and gave me that look, you know, the look of someone that KNOWS they made something delicious, so I took her up on the the offer and it was insanely good. Do yourself a favor and next time you need a filling, treat yo self kind of lunch go here and be sure to say yes to the tartar sauce.

So so good and tasty! This place has HUGE fried drumettes that were perfectly seasoned and crisp. When I tell you these are country fried, I mean it. My whole family enjoyed the chicken. My drive was about 15 mins and when we sat down to eat the chicken was still hot! They packaged them really well. Even the side of fries that I had were warm and seasoned correctly. There isn't any indoor seating available, and their hours are not long. BUT they are worth fitting into your schedule for sure!

I had a very solid experience with carry out from Game Day. They make it very easy by offering to go orders from multiple platforms. I used Grubhub through the Yelp app (seamless ordering, thanks Yelp!). Food was ready before even the earliest estimated pickup time which was a nice surprise.I thought the Short Stop combo with wings and onion rings was delicious. Little pricy after you include the taxes, fees, and tips but a very good meal. Onion rings had the perfect amount of batter and were cooked to perfection. The wings were a little soggy (could have just been due to it being a carry out order) and could have been a little more crisp but had incredible flavor. I really want to try dine in next time to compare, but I'd put them up there with Taps on Main and The Peanut as some of the better local wings I've tried.

This is the BEST fried chicken I've ever had. After seeing this place on the 2018 Top 50 for Yelp KC, I just had to stop by. But that's mainly because it's only 5 mins from my apartment. I've been there 3 times on a Saturday, and it's always packed. The atmosphere is amazing, the people are nice and the food is top notch! Everything was just a 10/10. The chicken has great flavor-- I'm not sure how they do it, but the skin was crispy (but not oily) to my liking. The portions are huge, and every penny is worth the cost. I say that, but the prices are not too bad at all. Each meal averages around $10, and you get a lot. Typical breakfast places cost $14-16, and there's barely anything, but here, you get 3 huge pancakes, big scoop of breakfast potatoes, scrambled eggs and 2 JUMBO wings for $11. Like what?!?!All I wish is that they have longer opening hours on weekdays, because I can never get my craving fix due to the place closing at 3 PM. Stop by if you have time during opening hours, you won't regret it!

This is a black owned business. It's hard to enjoy their foods when they closes so early or keep their place open in a short time. But overall, their chicken wings are freshly made when ordered and their waffles are so soft and good. Have tried the other food on their menu but don't see myself coming back due to their opening hours.

My husband relocated for his job and the guys at his new shop told him to try Game Day Wings. We got 20 party wings and the cheesesteak sandwich with rings. Do. Not. Miss. The Mac&Cheese Or The Cinnamon ROLL. These sweet people have been blessed by the Lord. Tip them well. and eat local. Go chiefs.

Place is so delicious. I had wings BnG and mac n cheese. Crazy combos but wow it is all so good. I asked for a recommendation and he said the mac n cheese. So rich n creamy. Wings are perfectly cooked. BnG is the best. Just like you want it. A wing and burger place making perfect BnGs. They make everything from scratch. Just so good. I got it to go. Back patio looked nice. Good place to chill n eat. If you see they are open. Go go go. Don't say next time. Just go go go.
