My running club meets here on Wednesday nights during the summer. We love it because most of the trail is shaded and is relatively flat. The park offers plenty of parking and is quite safe. I've been here for the free summer concert series and it's a great place to listen to live music.

I had the opportunity to visit this park for Liverpool concert. (Liverpool is a Beatles tribute band.) I can honestly say it was so much fun! I was not aware that Olathe park had events like this.. and for free. There is a lovely 14 mile trail along this park that is perfect for walking and bike riding. The trail is well shaded and the pavement fairly smooth.

Spacious and clean park that connects to trails. Has playground, Porta potty, baseball diamond, picnic tables, water fountains (even for pets). Always enjoy walking my dog here.

This is a pretty awesome park. The parking lot could use some attention, huge cracks, rocks everywhere, and standing puddles that looked gross. The basketball goal is in the parking lot. We wanted to use it but a car was parked under it. Baseball field looked good. Soccer field looked fine. Kids rated it a 3.5/5.

Honestly, I almost hate to write this review. Hate to share this little secret. But here it is.This park gets my 5 stars for one simple reason. The playground AND swings have shade.I know, there are great summer concerts here, and the walking trail passes through the park, and there are closes shelters... but at the end of the day, if you have kids or grandkids, you want shade for the play area.

Fabulous little playground PERFECT for preschool (or younger) age children. The primary play area is manufactured in a treasure ship theme, which both my 2 year old son and one year old (very mobile) daughter love. There is plenty of room to play and monkey around without bumping your neighbor. The parking lot is large providing ample places to park, even a number of spots shaded by trees. The play area is a rubber material that provides a soft and safe place to land and play. The swing set has two toddler safety seats (I wish all playgrounds had them). There are a number of covered picnic shelters and plenty of benches all around. There are two baseball diamonds off to the side of the park as well. The neighborhood is a very nice, middle-class area that feels safe and pleasant. All the parents / grandparents I met were sociable and pleasant. There are also a number of charcoal grills near picnic tables if you are looking for a cookout. there are no flush toilet facilities but there is a well maintained portable potty on site. I highly recommend this playground.

This is a nice little park right next to the Indian Creek Park Bike Trail. This park features a nice little kids park and guess what? It was full of kids. What I like about this park is that there are small enough for toddlers. Most parks nowadays only have "big kid" swings, but this one has two toddler swings. Their slides and jungle gym sits on top of rubber mats, which are bouncy and the kids really like to run and even if they fall it is really soft. There is also a couple of benches and a couple of bbq pits that you can have a nice little bbq going and watch the kids play. There is also a soccer field nearby, so if you get some guys together you can play futbol.Overall, this is a nice park and the people that go there are pretty friendly. Let's keep our parks safe!

Overall a great park. It can get VERY busy and we're had a few issues with 10+ year olds not there with an adult over-running everyone else.

Very nice park. The pirate ship play area is fun and well kept. There are two drawbacks in my mind. one is that are that there are only two small shelters. The other would be that for the amount of kids that play here there are not enough swings.

Frontier is a nice, basic neighborhood park. It's a great place to bring the kids or the dog. Frontier has a nice, but not huge, playground, as well as some nice open areas for soccer, football, or just running around. This is also complemented by a couple baseball diamonds. Finally, Frontier offers easy access to the Indian Creek Trail for your running or biking needs. All in all a small, fun park with plenty of parking if you don't live right in the neighborhood around it.
