Really cool hip spot on the outer edge of the Crossroads. Walking in I really love the design of the place and the ambiance they set with the lighting, it's very relaxing and has an upscale menu so it's a pretty cool experience. My partner and I stopped in on a chilly weeknight so the place was not too busy. We sat in front room which has great big windows to do some people watching or just enjoying the city life from.We had the flat iron steak and the rabbit pot pie. The rabbit pot pie was pretty damn delicious. No gamey flavor just warm hearty pot pie goodness with a beautiful homemade crust on top. Really great meal. The flat iron was not bad, I ordered it medium rare and they nailed the doneness perfectly. One thing I personally was not a fan of is that the steak is served on the cool side. I realize that this was intentional and supposed to allow more flavors to come through however it wasn't mentioned on the menu or by my server. The red wine reduction also didn't quite come together for me. A bit bitter imo. Personally I wouldn't order it again as a steak lover. That said the meal otherwise was really great including the roasted bone marrow which was a big hit with my partner and I.Will definitely be back, can't wait to try some more options on the menu.

Every drink we had was delicious and the food was absolutely delicious. We had most of the small plates on the menu and everything was perfect. We had wonderful service from Megan, she was very attentive and offered great suggestions. Loved the modern swanky vibe of the restaurant and the club down below. I thought I had made reservations and I called to confirm on our way, the hostess, Molly didn't find them but made accommodations to get us in, we were super appreciative.

Everything is tasteful - the food, drinks, decor. All the employees were pleasant & helpful. We had Paloma's to drink with the bread + dip appetizer. Both were wonderful. Love that they use local vendors. The bathrooms were clean & stocked with a few goodies.

We went for brunch on Sunday.. very limited menu.. I had the salad and we shared the potted cheese . Both were very good. I lived the inside of the restaurant.. an old building and very cool seating and nice bar in the middle. I will have to visit for dinner soon. Our server Michael was excellent.

Love the ambiance and great food! We went for the Night Goat pop up on Thursdays. Love the seating downstairs--so cozy. The drinks were amazing!! Food was also very good, but one of our friends got the taco and it was a single (pretty small) taco for $9.....very very disappointing, so not order... The rest of the food was great. Service was 4/5 stars. Overall enjoyed our time and plan on coming back to eat on the main level with the normal menu items.

Our drinks were excellent and the meal was also quite good! A great smoky pairing is the Supremesicle mezcal drink with the potted cheese appetizer, they are both sufficiently smoky and compliment each other well! We preferred the smoked pork chop in flavor to the Denver steak; however the sweet potato gnocchi was much better than the squash and turnips accompanying the pork chop. Love the ambience, it's very comfortable inside with soft lighting.

They recently brought their brunch back and it's just as amazing as you'd expect it to be. on the menu: breakfast sandwichsteak & eggsburritofrench toast x 2charcuterie boardbreakfast cocktails (bloody mary & pimm's cup) our thoughts: you're going to love this brunch! everything from start to finish is phenomenal; all of the flavors are unique, fresh, and so delicious. the atmosphere is warm & welcoming and definitely gives an elevated, neighborhood hangout vibe. our tip: do yourself a favor and order two orders of their house made pickles. also take advantage of their reservations to secure your spot kiddo menu available: nope, kiddo friendly choices & side orders available

We dined at Fox & Pearl last fall, so we were overdue for a return. We brought along two first-timers for a fun evening of great food and conversation. We were seated in the dining room adjacent to the open kitchen. Our first time sitting here. Loved the spaciousness and natural light. Shelby, our server, did a great job helping us make menu selections and ensuring we were having an awesome experience. After ordering cocktails, we each selected a different Small Plate for sharing: Coal Roasted Mokum Carrots, Potted Cheese and Ibis Bakery bread, Grilled Chicken Wings and Beef Tartare. We thought all were excellent, but the standouts were the Carrots and Tartare. For entrees, I was disappointed to learn the renown Fried Chicken is only served on Monday. So that will have to wait for another visit. As I had never tried a pasta at Fox & Pearl, I went with Beef Bolognese. The pancetta and fettuccine chittara were incredible. My only complaint was the portion was so small. One of our first-timers went with the Smoked Pork Chop that I had on my last visit and he was incredibly complimentary on the portion size and perfect preparation. My wife and our other guest ordered the Grilled Hanger Steak. They both felt the meat and fries were over-salted. They were tempted to have the kitchen re-do the order, but didn't want to drag out our meal.We finished with some delicious ice wine: Royal Tokaji Red Label. If you've never tried it, it's a great alternative to dessert.

I had dinner at Fox and Pearl a week or so ago when I was in Kansas City for a work conference, and I was really happy I picked it for one of my two dinners while I was in town. I sat at the bar and ordered some wine and way too much food: grilled oyster mushrooms, with creamed cabbage, black garlic, and pickled elderberries; Cacio e Pepe with Grana Padano, Tomme (cheese), spaghetti, and black pepper; and buttermilk Panna Cotta with rhubarb granita, grilled blackberries, and pistachio crisp. I really appreciated their interesting wine selection (naturals and less common varietals) and my glasses of orange blend (Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Chardonnay) and Lambrusco. I also thought the food was very good (I particularly enjoyed the pasta and the dessert - those grilled blackberries blew my mind). The service at the bar was great (really friendly staff), and the restaurant is beautiful. (They also have a parking lot, which I get weirdly excited about now.) Overall, my meal was delicious, interesting, cool, fun. All the good things.
