Fortunati Pizza

Fortunati makes a really good pizza. Good crust with a crispy undercarriage, I'm glad that I stopped by on a busy First Friday in the West Bottoms. While the area near the antique shops was chock full of people, the South end near Fortunati was quiet. My wife and I ordered two 12-inch pizzas and dined at the tables outside. I really wanted to try two different pizzas so we got two, but one 12-inch pizza is plenty for two people. We got the Pep Boy and Loaded Baked Potato. They left off the jalapeños on half of the Pep Boy for my wife who can't handle spice. The Loaded Baked Potato had thick pieces of pork belly that were crunchy and mixed well with the potatoes and white sauce.

New West Bottoms pizza option!! My usual West Bottoms pizza choice (You Wanna Pizza Me) was closed during a thunderstorm, so I was super glad to stumble upon the newly opened Fortunati. They have a super concise menu but some really interesting options (baked potato pie??). The pesto is killer - I loved the veggie pizza with the white sauce. And I am also a sucker for a pizza with a vodka sauce base, so I really enjoyed the sausage pizza as well. The crust was super crispy, and they were generous with toppings! If you're getting drinks in this area of the West Bottoms, I highly recommend so pizza as a quick, casual option. The dining area inside is small but cute and cozy! You order at the counter or online. The pizza was ready quick! The only downside was that the service was not great. The cashier was drawing behind the counter and didn't acknowledge for a long time when we asked for our pizzas at the counter.

3.8 StarsStory goes that the bar a few spaces down, Lucky Boys, started selling a ton of pies on pizza night, so they decided to open up a stand alone. The pizza is good and fine. Crust is chewy inside with a crunchy exterior that I love. It has a bit of a sour dough flavor which isn't my preferred flavor. I would guess that's going to make or break your overall opinion towards it.So for me it's not a destination pizza, but a fine accompaniment if your having drinks in the area.The interior has a couple tables and some stools to handle a smaller crowd. There's no character inside, but I'd imagine that will change(I think they just opened this summer).

The baked potato pizza was pretty insane. Pepperoni and sausage were also very good. Every single piece of crust at our table was gone. Sourdough for the win.

First time here. Ordered a pizza to go. Wow! Delicious! The crust was great and the sauce was amazing.

Pizza was delicious, for take out. Perfect for adding salad greens on the side, and well worth the trip to the bottoms.

Service was great. We tried the Pep Boi and the Spicy Sausage pizzas. The portions and prices were good, one small should feed 2 people (maybe not 2 teenage boys though;). The crust was thinner but not NY thin, crisp on the bottom. It would be nice to see them grow and expand their menu. Overall, Fortunati is a solid choice for decent pizza prices.

I ordered a pizza, and the pizza was made wrong missing toppings at as described on the menu. A staff mistake right... And they offered me 2 dollars. As compensation. On a 20 dollar 12inch pizza.....
