FM Music Vintage Sounds

This is such a nice vinyl record store! They had a huge selection of new arrivals and classic artists. I feel like everything was also fairly priced. It didn't seem too outlandish even for the new arrivals. Everything was organized by genre then alphabetically, so it was fairly easy to sift through the rows of records. The gentlemen who helped us was super kind. He even offered to play anything before buying it.

Have been in a few times for local events they've participated in but today was the first time I was in to shop. My dad recently started using his record player and I had a list of ideas to look for gifts. Not only did they walk me around to find what was available on the list, but he asked if he could take a picture of my list to order items in so he'd have them next time someone asked. He really went above and beyond especially since I'm not a regular or someone who he can assume will be back. Now we will definitely be back though!

Although I haven't had a turntable in quite a few years, I still love to wander the aisles of local record shops to remind me of my glory years of managing one of the greatest record stores of the mid-west in the early 1990's. I'm usually there to buy gifts or pursue a unique find. FM Music is the only northland record store left and the owner has carved out a great niche of not only having a jam packed store of vinyl, and CD's. but a lot of wall and shelf space for local artists - musical and visual. Today I picked up an LP of a local jazz band to frame, two kick-ass collectable posters and a hard-cover book of a grunge band that my wife has somehow discovered late in life. grand total = $27. Hell of a deal!!

Amazing store. Great selection for used AND new vinyl, CDs, and cassettes. From Jazz to Rock, soul, and even OSTs, if you're a vinyl hobbiest or even just a music lover this store is for you!The owner who is usually there is also very friendly and willing to help you find the music YOU want, along with great suggestions on other music you may never had thought of! One of the best things about this place is they stongly support local bands. This is my favorite record shop in town, I reccomend this place to everyone.

Been there a few times now... GREAT selection of new and used. Great location. The staff was amazing and can carry on a conversation about any artist. You can tell they are music lovers. If that's not enough, they give you free beer while you shop.
