We stopped in at firebirds for some bar bites and a drink. We were pleasantly surprised with the food and service we got. They have a happy hour mon-fri on select items on their menu. We got their chicken chile nachos served with grilled chicken, green chili cheese sauce, corn salsa, goat cheese, and jalapeños. It actually had quite a bite to it. Prime rib sliders are a big recommendation from me though. Topped with horseradish sauce, crispy onions, on a toasted brioche. The sandwich didn't fall a part and had some excellent flavor to it. A great place to sit in the bar area to grab food and drinks with TVs around to watch the game.

Came here with some Kansas natives and a friend for restaurant week. Our server was actually great and did her best. She was positive and pleasant. There was a slight communication issue regarding whether the salad dressing has dairy, but it all worked out. And the salad was delicious--by the way. But the other three guests I came with were not happy with their food. I mean, my salmon was fine (I asked for no sauce)--slightly salty but I didn't mind because the green beans had no flavor whatsoever and the salmon had no sauce. Tater tots were lukewarm but I ate them because I was so hungry. But my friend got the same salmon dish with the sauce and it was too salty for her to eat. She had our other friend try it just to see if she was trippin but that friend couldn't even finish chewing it...The manager was super apologetic and had the kitchen remake it. They also ordered the lobster spinach queso. I didn't taste it because I don't eat cheese or lobster. But apparently it wasn't hot. So the manager had that remade too. Overall, people just weren't happy with their food. I loved my salad though and the server was nice. The ambiance is amazing and beautiful, homey and clean. So it's unfortunate that the kitchen failed so epically :-( Needless to say, I definitely won't be back here.

We tried this several years ago - and moved north quite a bit - so haven't been in the area. We made the choice to come visit - and were disappointed with how our evening went.We decided to try the prie fix menu - both got salads - which were a huge portion. I got the filet, asparagus and loaded potato, and the hubs got the salmon and shrimp. It took a bit of time for things to come out -even with little people in the restaurant. My filet came out and was squishy and purple - when ordered medium. They tried to take the steak only and leave me with the baked potato (no asparagus yet) and I said just take all of it. The manager came over and asked if we needed anything while I was waiting and I asked for bread. 10 min went by and no bread or steak so we asked our server. While waiting - the asparagus shows up and I started laughing and said no - it goes with my steak. The steak finally shows up after the hubs is done eating. The asparagus was cold since it was probably throw on the plate after sitting there a while and came out to me. The steak was cooked better - wasn't perfect still but at least edible. It was a good steak - I just wouldn't pay $50 for it by itself or even with the prie fix menu. We ordered the bread pudding- which again took a while to come out - and took two servers to deliver 2 plates and then gave us forks for it. It was served with ice cream and in a bowl - so when I asked for spoons instead - I got an eye roll. Seems like there's just a miscommunication amongst the entire restaurant. The manager did cover the cost of my meal - However based on this experience as a whole - and the drive for us - we won't be back.

Came in for a work lunch on a Thursday around noon and was seated immediately. Guessing the place was roughly half full. Service was amazing the entire time - you will not catch this wait staff lacking. I opted for a salmon Caesar salad with a side of port mushrooms. The salad was good, although it could've used a tad more dressing. The salmon was cooked properly. And the shrooms were really good, but would likely be better with a steak and split with 2 more people. Overall I'd lean 4.5/5 overall here and will definitely be back for dinner sometime.

Had a pleasant business lunch here. The chicken taco salad is the current special and it really delivered on taste. The salad had very fresh greens and was well dressed. Lots of toppings and a grilled chicken breast. Our server was diligently trying to sell us on having wine or a cocktail with lunch, but happily kept our water glasses full when we declined. She came around a few times to check on us but was very aware that we were deep in conversation and I appreciated the light touch with fewer distractions. The restaurant itself is classy and suitable for families, business meetings and date night.

This place wowed me. The meal was quite expensive compared to my usual fare, but it did not disappoint. The salmon benedict brunch was so delicious and tasty and filling. I wish I could eat that lobster fondue all the time, such a perfect rich creamy flavor. The potatoes were pretty good. The shrimp and grits looked very yummy too. We had quite a big group and the waitress took fairly good care of us for Sunday brunch. The water glasses were not always filled though. The place was very big and decked out in a dark wood and flooring but bright windows. The tables and chairs gave plenty of space with booths along some walls. The bar looked very grand at the front as well. We were able to put in a reservation and come right in to be seated.I would totally love to eat here again and try some other dishes, when I want to treat myself. I have heard the pineapple infused vodka cocktail is very delicious and strong too.

Dinner for four on a busy Thursday. Service was attentive & we were able to move from a table to quieter booth. We had salmon, excellent, and steaks. The filet was grand the med rare ribeye a bit gristly and chewy. We shared with the server one at our table had an onion/garlic allergy so have chef select her side dish. She was served steamed broccoli with a garlic butter. ouch. The bottles above the bar were arranged in a colorful palette, nice touch.

I am so sad that I am writing this review right now. It was my friends birthday + she made a reservation, as we know Firebirds is a reputable + popular place to eat!! We were seated promptly which was great considering they were jam packed. Unfortunately, this is where our experience went south. Now my friends + I are all servers, so we understand hard nights + tried to have as much grace as possible. From the get go our waitress was dismissive of our drinks - we could see them sitting at the bar for 10-15 minutes before being brought over. We had to repeat ourselves 3-5 times for anything we ordered (it was a little loud in there, so again grace) but things still managed to come out wrong. My steak was already cut completely in half + we didn't have any bread until right before the meal. Again, I don't try and judge too hard - but if I am paying for a $100 meal I expect $100 service, from someone who serves. *** THE FOOD WAS ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL AND I HOPE TO BE BACK WITH A BETTER REVIEW AND EXPERIENCE.

Service was good. However I gave it 3 stars because one of my chicken breast was not only tough to cut with the steak knife but tough to chew as well. The honey garlic glaze was tasty, the cherry tomatoes were tender and flavorful. And the scalloped potatoes were divine. Hot, cheesy goodness My husband chose the prime rib with Au jus.. delicious & perfectly cooked. Said you could taste the smoke in the potatoes which added a great, distinct flavor. Overall, we would definitely try it again. Oh did I mention this was out first time visiting Firebird ! **if you're wondering, I did mention the toughness of the chicken to the server. She took it as more of a note it seemed.

Excellent steaks and sides and a wonderful Happy hour! I think this place gets overlooked due to its location(in a strip mall next to scheels) but the food is top notch!!! Friendly wait staff and chill atmosphere. I would highly rec this gem that is usually not busy and has great steaks. Bravo!
