Yep, it is an old fast food restaurant but it is where the locals eat fine food in Raytown.
Inside the place is magically bigger, colorful and quaint.

My husband, David, and I, would really love to encourage everyone who loves Mexican food to visit and enjoy the delights at Fiesta Azteca, on Raytown Road. Not only is the food really good, it is served up as quickly as it can be freshly-cooked by the most cheerful, engaging people, in a cozy, warm and inviting atmosphere. The owner, Andres, and his amazing family create an experience of goodness and joy every time we go there. In fact, it is our habit to soak up some of the sweet energy of this family while enjoying the delicious, authentic Mexican cuisine when we've had a stressful day, because their "recipe" for good food and hospitality is really good medicine for what ails! Give them a try soon - you won't be sorry!

Tucked away, Fiesta Azteca might look small, but it delivers big on taste. Their tacos are not only delicious but surprisingly substantial, leaving you completely satisfied. The service is remarkably efficient, and the prices are just right. A true hidden gem!

This is a hidden gem with great authentic Mexican food and the best salsa around. Everything is prepared and cooked fresh every day and this local owned business and the staff is second to none. I've been a handful of times and every time I've gotten something different and have not been disappointed.

Chef Andre prepares and presents delicious, beautiful food for his customers. Alejandro, his son, provides excellent, friendly service. The setting is an old drive-in fast food restaurant on a busy street. The decor includes a few pictures of long-time customers, festive Mexican art and cheerful bright colors. Fiesta Azteca is a genuine find! It is that rare hole-in-the-wall place that serves divine food, feels like home and thus creates an unexpected and memorable dining experience. For a real treat, just ask Chef Andre to prepare you something special (I am not kidding! Just ask!). He will gladly do it, and the result will amaze you. He can cook anything! Vegetarian fare is no problem, and no hassle. Take time to savor the sauces. Enjoy food that is actually plated well and appealing to the eyes as well as the pallet (too many Mexican restaurants serve their food like slop!).The Marghaita's are not to heavy -- worthy! The prices are moderate! There is always just the right amount of cheese. Simple dishes like spinach and eggs are done extremely well. And the beans (the hallmark dish of any good Mexican restaurant) are superb! It is comfortable, fun, fine dining in an hole-in-the-wall on Raytown Road. 5-stars for me.

Last time for us. Overpriced bland food. Raytown mexican food? Go to Rincon. Otherwise go to the Kansas side for real food.

Looking for a tasty Mexican dish for lunch or dinner?? Check out Fiesta Azteca in Raytown! This place may not look like much from the outside because the building appears small, but you don't want to pass up a meal here! I ordered the pollo con queso which was smothered in the perfect amount of cheese! Other favorite dishes at this delicious hole-in-the-wall included the verde enchiladas and the chicken salad. Fiesta Azteca serves free fresh salsa and warm chips for the table as an appetizer. If you have the chance to order a margarita, I'd recommend that as well!

I wouldn't call it a fiesta. Value for money Food was substandard, prices outrageous, and the hospitality was as sparce as the portion sizes, not to mention the wait, being as we were the only people there, it was unbelievable. When the bill arrived and we were actually confused Rincon Tarasco is 2 minutes up Raytown Rd as you hit 350, you'll get twice the food for half the price of this place and it's savory, fast, authentic and the presentation is exceptional. Now that's a party if you're a foodie, Fiesta Azteca is a dud.

Service was okay, since there was only a few people there. Order the Carne Asada y Camaron. Steak was terrible. Half the steak was fat and the portion did not match the cost. Definitely better Mexican in Raytown!

The food tasted good. We were really let down though by the guacamole. It definitely wasn't freshly made. Disappointed about that, since we paid for it and were looking forward to fresh guacamole. Not in a rush to go back unless that changes.
