Fat Shack- Kansas City

When my friend asked me to try Fat Shack out, I was a bit skeptical, thinking everything looked greasy in the photos. I'm glad I went! The classic burger was excellent. The cheese fries were about average. They also got the food out fairly quickly too. The atmosphere was like an old diner but not as well lit.I did find the parking a bit tricky. It was kind of hard to get in and out. Other than that, we really enjoyed it and will certainly be back!

This restaurant is fire! Super good! Flavorful food! I ordered it via Uber eats and it still came warm, which I was very happy about! Good eats that's open late! I'm feeling fat and happy! XDAlso, they made the best chocolate milkshake I've ever had!

If you're looking for something hearty and meaty...this place for you!!! The only negative about it for me is a bit pricey. The service and atmosphere is average like any other place when i have visited several times.

So have you ever craved all the bar food and appetizers at one time but didn't want to order them all?! This is a combination of all those foods you could order separately in one sandwich! I ordered a fat shack half and fried Oreos and was satisfied. It has Cheesesteak, chicken fingers, jalapeño poppers, mozzarellasticks, french fries & honey-jalapeño mustard all on one sandwich!

Fat Shack takes the lowest common denominator of fried bar food and creates ungodly sandwich concoctions. This is where all culinary skills are tossed aside for a deep fryer and a grill. My Fat Chance Sandwich was served on a soft roll and layered with cheese steak, jalapeno poppers, chicken fingers, french fries and smothered in Buffalo ranch sauce. I really wanted to say how disgusting it was in it's ridiculousness, but I'm afraid to tell you that each bite was a fabulous blend of a lot of my guilty pleasures. My Oreo shake was a nice decadent compliment to the sandwich. The other dozen "Fat Sandwiches" contain combinations of other foods such as fried pickles, mac and cheese, mozzarella sticks, onion rings....The menu also has burgers, wings, fried desserts and shakes. It is great to have a dine-in option open until 1am or 3am on weekends in the neighborhood. As a person that works evenings, I appreciate a Northland option that isn't Waffle House for late night dine-in service. I'm sure I will be getting my Fat Shack fix more than I would like to admit.

Their Philly cheesesteak is the absolute best in the area. Staff is slow sometimes, but they're super friendly and accommodating. Never sat inside to eat, but it seems like a very standard restaurant with regular restaurant vibes. I mostly DoorDash from them when those late night munchies hit! Best late night food!

I have been to several fat shacks and this one was the cleanest one I have ever been to. The General Manager Greg was super friendly and you could tell he take pride in the food he serves. For those not familiar Fat Shack is a staple around many college towns and known for their wacky sandwiches that include all your favorite bar food in a single sandwich .. Definitely worth trying.

Great flavor even better food coma. Only thing that sucks is parking but has nothing to do with the actual establishment.

I cannot write a review as I have yet to eat here. As I drive by after I get off work around 10:30PMI want to stop in but the parking lot is so dark ..Perhaps if it was better illuminated I'd actually go in.
