Our first trip to Fat Brain Toys was for a Toddler Tuesday when they do something free for young children at 11am. It's a fun thing to do before visiting the museum at Prairie fire around the corner. The selection of toys is really great honestly especially for being a "smaller" store. They have great quality toys, all natural materials, and well renowned brands, such as Melissa and David. The set up is really inviting and everything is very well organized and easy to find what you're looking for. The prices are what you would expect for high-quality toys made to last. If I were to have a complaint, it would just be that the majority of the staff there very much gives that "Johnson County" uptight Service. don't get me wrong, a couple of the employees were very pleasant and didn't seem put off by the presence of children. The majority of the employees though very much appeared to be auditioning for a Disney villain role minus the wardrobe.

I have been going to this toy store a lot lately since I now have my first grandson! What a great place if you have kids!! They have almost all the toys out on tables so you can play before buy! They have great door deals every Saturday the month of December. The staff are always so friendly and you are greeted once you open the door! One of my favorite parts is they have FREE gift wrap!!! Nothing is too small or too big!! If you have kids and just need a place to "play" this little Toy Store is absolutely awesome!! i can't wait for my little guy to visit. We will definitely be going in for a little adventure!!

The best toy store around. They always have toys out to play with, and staff are very friendly and helpful! We love that the toys are mostly educational and they don't stock super loud or annoying toys like other stores do. Free gift wrapping is a bonus!

Went in to let my son see what they have. Walked in and found that the aisles were filled with their inventory in large plastic bins. We had to walk around these and I had to tell my kid not to climb on them. They were saying, " If you find something you want and it's behind a bin, let us know." Why weren't these bins put away the night before or early morning? I shouldn't have to be walking around these in a store.

When someone buys gifts to ship, if one of the five is not in stock they should be told. Four grandkids receive gifts and one does not. What a crappy thing to do. It's basically a lie. They have my money and my grandson cried. Will never set foot in that place again.

Staff was too engrossed in playing with toys behind counter to pay any attention to me and my sons the WHOLE TIME we were there. When we finally got their attention (we were buying something of course) one of the staff made a rude comment under her breath to my son, including profanity! Will never shop there again.

In the middle of their online ad it says "we ship to California in 4 days". Wrong! It was a Xmas gift and my grandson was going to be here for the weekend so I had it shipped here. Little knowing that there would be a 5 day delay in the shipping. Of course it will get here after he was gone and I need to reship it. When complaining to Fat Brain they said "not our fault, talk to UPS". Well, guess who selected UPS as the vendor and was supposed to supervise them?MUST HAVE READ THIS REVIEW BECAUSE THEY CALLED WITHIN A MINUTE OF MY POSTING IT. The new customer service person was very helpful. She is tracking down the toy and will have it reshipped by them to my grandson's home. I appreciate them taking the ownership of and interest in resolving a problem that was created by their vendor (UPS).I may bug again from Fat Brain if we like the product.

If you're nearby I would recommend this over any chain. One area of difference is they actually open up a large number of their toys for kids to play with. So it's not just looking at a box, it's about experiencing how it actually works. We ended up buying birthday gifts for our son 4 months early.

Love the variety of quality toys. They welcomed little ones exploring while Grandma shopped. They also have great suggestions when the grandkids are not with me. I usually shop on line but this store is a must stop and play (see).
