I see this place is listed three times so I guess look at all the reviews popped in here to get some of my standard groceries but I just wanted to remind everybody what great barbecue food they have I got a pulled pork sandwich with spicy barbecue sauce and it was just amazing the amount of meat that is served on a great bun and they have a nice area outside to eat if the weather's good and just grab a drink inside. Go inside and pay and pick out which sandwich you want and enjoy as always the staff there is just great.

I'm a bit surprised by the low ratings. I've never had an issue here, even after it was taken over. But anyway, we stopped in here to grab some steaks and seafood for our annual New Year's Eve Surf and turf.On our last visit, we grabbed a couple of ribeyes, some shrimp, fresh asparagus, and some mushrooms. The ribeyes were large, and were a really good price. They cooked up beautifully and the leftovers were also delicious. The shrimp was large and fresh. And the produce we picked up was also fresh.It is a small store, but they have a lot of grocery offerings that you can pick up to supplement your meal. I've always received good service, so I have no complaints about staffing. And the store is always clean.Give them a try for your next cookout.

Best smoked chicken in kc. Use Meat Mitch Naked Bbq sauce and you have a quickly prepared entree with just a quick heating up. I love this store for many reasons but this is definitely one of my favorite

It's been fascinating watching folks reject Fareway Meat Market once it took over for much loved McGonigles. Unpopular opinion here: I don't think much has changed. Yes, I agree that it's a massive shame to have such a local gem purchased by a larger grocer, but I'm happy that it still feels very much the same, meaning they have maintained the charm of the original place.It's still a charming, VERY SMALL, meat market that specializes in the butcher shop and specialty foods. I still enjoy meandering through the too small for standard shopping cart aisles, delighting in random new products that I haven't seen before, and ultimately purchasing meat from the wonderful butcher shop. I think they even still sell sandwiches, though, I was there too early in the day to really speak to that. Overall the only quip I had was just that they do always seem to be a bit grumpy in there, but I did enjoy my visit and my family does still come here to get meat when we are preparing to smoke something or have a nice steak dinner.

If I could give them a 0 I would.... Meat with lots of griddle and the food truck people are downright rude!!!!!!!!

I have a friend who loves Tasso. Now most people don't know what it is, it's seasoned pork shoulder btw, and even fewer locations carry it. When I call a place and ask them if they have Tasso I am usually met with a response of I don't know. What is it? Hint, if you are a butcher and have to ask me what it is than no; you do not have it.So I called this place up from Springfield and was thrilled to hear that they not only knew what it was but that they had it. Just to be sure though I mentioned that I was going to drive three hours to get there so could they check to make sure they had five pound of it. Don't worry the guy assured me on the phone, they had it. Fast forward four hours later and they only had one pound of it when I got there. Pretty frustrating to saw the least to make that drive for one pound because somebody was to lazy to walk a few feet to a freezer to see if that actually had what I was asking for.

The customer service is terrible. I walked in, and no one said a single thing. When I went to the meat counter the employee behind it totally disregarded me. A couple people who I assume were managers walked out from behind the back and didn't say anything either. Once acknowledged I asked the employee how their day was going and the answer I got was just unfriendly and depressing. Prices were HIGH!! Staff was unfriendly, unprofessional. I miss the old market.

Great selection of quality meats!Liquor, wine and groceries.We were in town visiting family and were looking for some steaks to grill. This place is great, I highly recommend it.

It's well laid out and clean and has THE BEST selection of meats and seafood in their fresh, deli and frozen sections. The staff are always eager to help.

Bought a couple of "Choice" grade porterhouse steaks on sale at $11.99 recently. Yes, good price, but meat should have been graded "Utility" or below, total garbage. Why sell a crappy product when your customers will not be happy?
