This is apparently the only Marriott in central Missouri - but they don't let this keep them from keeping high standards. The rooms were clean and the staff friendly. The breakfast was surprisingly good for a basic continental, and if you get a chance to try the cheese soufflé do it. The pool was in great shape and the towels well stocked. We will definitely use this location again.

Mom and I really liked this overnight stop on our way to Colorado! Very nicely renovated. Rooms were quiet and clean. Check in was quick and friendly! Breakfast was in a nice area. You can make your own waffles and the option is one large waffle or four small waffles. I made one small waffle and topped it with sausage and scrambled eggs for an open faced breakfast sandwich. It Was a perfect amount for a quick bite. Mom said the coffee was very good! She had a pre-made breakfast sandwich, it was ok but it was there awhile and we were there later in the morning. Mom was happy they had cold Blue Moon in the snack shop when we checked in. We stayed here on our way to Quilt Town USA in Hamilton MO and it's just 30 minutes East, so perfect for us on our way West. I subtracted one star only because the elevator was broken down the morning we were checking out. Although the gentleman at the front desk would have carried down our luggage. We would definitely stay here again.

Room fine, breakfast fine, staff courteous. But it must be said that COVID-19 not being taken seriously. On check-in, which took a long time due to a Priceline issue thru no fault of the Fairfield Inn, no staff wore masks which we thought odd/concerning due to contact with a public coming from many places. When I asked about it staff courteously said "we haven't had a problem here". I did learn later that 200 individuals at the local women's prison had just tested positive for the virus. I felt this showed lack of awareness about the impact and characteristics of this pandemic situation and lack of concern for vulnerable guests.

NEW PIT STOPI've spent the last four months driving over 12,000 miles and I needed a pit stop on my drive back to Chicago. This hotel was completely brand new and is down the street from my favorite Mexican pit stop. If you decide to stay here I highly recommend El Toro down the street. Their lunch specials are really affordable and amazing. When I arrived after 10pm, the girl at the front desk was being trained. Her manager who was really nice was totally shadowing her and she was asking me weird questions. She asked me for my phone number and I told her I was good. She then said, "What if you leave something in the room!" I laughed and said, "If I leave something in the room I'll never see it again!" After 30 years of living in hotels you learn fast that when it's left it's gone forever. I declined all of her strange requests but also understand her boss was hovering over her. She tried putting me on the first floor and I vetoed that. It's never safe to sleep with a window facing the parking lot on the ground level unless there's a fire. Luckily for me it was a perfectly safe night. I grabbed my room at about 10:30pm and went to bed immediately. I had about 6+ hours of driving ahead of me plus it was going to be Friday when I woke up and Chicago traffic can be brutal. The bed was very comfortable and everything in the room was new. I would say this might be the nicest hotel in town. They have a workout room but I wasn't going to have time to break that in on this trip The breakfast area is huge and very comfortable. I love the Fairfield's space. There's even big booths to sit in. Breakfast was great. There's healthy options like fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs, turkey sausage, nuts and dried fruit. I always love having the good options as opposed to all unhealthy options. Those bad health options are still here so don't fear if you want the waffle covered in syrup and butter. You can still make that. They also have lemon pound cake, Pork sausage and muffins. If you are looking to go naughty. After grabbing breakfast it was time to hit the road, the early morning sun glare was horrible along with heavy fog. So be careful of the late September early morning driving conditions. I was so happy to find a pair of sun glasses in my back park. Thanks Fairfield for a safe and restful evening on the road. I look forward to stopping here again when I'm on the road and looking for a place to crash!

Great rooms with a clean feel and comfortable beds. Rooms are pretty modern with plenty of electrical outlets or USB ports. Friendly front desk staff and a decent continental breakfast. Yes they have laundry facilities with some laundry soap and fabric sheets to purchase. Washer 1.75 per load 1.00 for 45 min dryer time. Soaps were 1.25. On the 2nd floor. Just wish they had a chair to sit in if you want to wait for your clothes to wash or dry.

Over a four day trip, this hotel was by far the best. The staff was very welcoming and helpful both the evening and day staff. Yummy cookies were available. Everything was modern and clean. The key cards were high tech so you just had to hold the card to the reader rather than swiping it. There was a great workout room as well. The two queen bed room and bathroom were spacious. The beds were very comfortable. There was a thermostat on the wall as well as on the unit (which was pretty quiet by hotel standards). There was a large TV with a good remote. The room had an area where you could set up your computer and there were plenty of outlets throughout the room. Very nice! Breakfast is one of the best we've had with REAL scrambled eggs not the strange looking yellow hockey puck. There was fresh fruit as well as sweets, cereal, oatmeal, and sausage (which was tasty and they offered pork and turkey). My only slight complaint is the bold coffee is not so bold. The lady working the breakfast room was also very friendly. There are not many restaurants nearby ... Applebee's being the closest which was, well, Applebee's.

We ended up staying here by accident. We had one night booked at the Super 8 down the street. What a terrible experience. We left the Super 8 and immediately called the Fairfield Inn. They were great from the first phone call. They got us right in. They gave us a great room at a great price. There are not many places to stay in some of these small towns. We recommend the Fairfield Inn for your next stay in Chillicothe, MO. It will be ours.

I have stayed at this motel many times but during COVID they are not wearing masks. When questioned, they stated there is not a problem in their county. When I contacted Marriott about this blatant disregard for customer health, I received no response from management. Disappointed I will no longer able to stay in this convenient location.
