Expressive Catering

I must say outright that this was quite the feat as the process was completed without ever speaking live with the owner. I seem to have come to prefer contacting businesses through e-mail or social networks. I think it works better and gives both parties more time. Though I did speak with her husband when he delivered the food.It was the second year for the Bode, Bottles and Burgers party and this year I wanted to forgo the normal potato chips, rotel, etc. So I contacted (via e-mail) Express*ive Catering after attending their open house. Bonnie came up with a menu that she thought would fit with the main course and for 40 people: Roasted red pepper hummus with cumin-rubbed toasted pita triangles, BLT salad, savory cheese spread with sesame crisps and sliced fruit and berries.It was the perfect amount and everyone loved it, especially the savory cheese spread.Realize that the four items I got hardly cover what is available from this caterer. An entire meal can be had from apps to dessert.

We've used Bonnie and Expressive Catering for several events and she and her staff always shine. The food is always just right for the event and presented in a perfect manner. I can't say enough good about Expressive!

Bonnie and staff catered my daughters wedding at The Berg Event Space, June 12th 2015. What a wonderful company and staff. Bonnie is so easy to work with and exemplary in her profession. She is there to make your event yours and has a wealth of knowledge in decorating, Culinary arts and customer service. We met 3 times. First to layout the vision and get familiar with our reception wants. Bonnie asked to see my gals Pinterest page so she could make things more personal. Our tasting was phenomenal. The chef prepared all foods we were trying for a food station set up. If we did not care for something, gone. Bonnie was so careful to not let us do repeats of any food. Our final meeting detailed the entire floor plan for the reception and menu updated based on our tasting. The staff arrived 3-4 hours before the reception and it was a HUGEsuccess. Barely any food leftover. It was outstanding. We received numerous compliments from Our guests about how fresh and flavorful the food tasted. The mashed sweet potatoes were over the top tasty. Bonnie and her staff at Expressive Catering were great! The food was delicious and her servers are polite, courteous and efficient. We will definitely use her again! She handled everything needed for a wonderful wedding reception.

We used Bonnie to cater the visitation for my mom's funeral at our church. The food was excellent - just right for the occasion - and presented so beautifully. Bonnie quietly set everything up and made sure the food kept coming out as needed. We could not have asked for better catering. Thank you Bonnie.

My husband and I used Expressive Catering for our wedding receptions- a buffet style dinner. Our experience working with Bonnie at Expressive Catering was excellent on the whole. She was always very responsive throughout the planning process, very willing to work with us- food and menu preferences, allergies, etc. as well as budgetary needs. The food was delicious- so many of our wedding guests have been very complimentary on the meal, as well as we ourselves loved it. The buffet display and decor was beautiful- she was very detailed in understanding our theme and decorating style for our reception and worked to match it, making the buffet and food display an elegant and beautiful piece of the decor. She was very attentive to details, which was incredibly helpful, especially in hindsight, because that means she knows exactly how things should look and work on the night of and can make sure that it happens in a way that you are able to just enjoy your night stress-free!We would recommend Expressive Catering to anyone! Loved the service and the quality and taste of the food!

To start - I ultimately decided not to use them for my catering because the service even before they had my money was terrible. I began speaking with Bonnie from Expressive Catering and thought she was great. She understood what I was looking for and my budget. We set up a time to meet and then things turned. I discovered that things such as a vegetable side dish would cost extra - not typical of other caterers - and she was trying to make my event match her style, not mine. She said that she was too busy to set up a tasting at least a month and that she would send a cost estimate based off of a menu we discussed within a week. Two weeks later, I contacted her because I hadn't heard back and she told me she forgot because she was too busy. I chose another caterer and another two weeks later, I finally received her bid. I just think this is a terrible way to run a business - so I took mine elsewhere!
