Exit Games

We had two adults and two pre-teens attempt the "Betrayal" game at Exit Games in Bonner Springs. The staff was very friendly and explained the rules clearly. The room we chose was very clean and well organized.The game itself, titled "Betrayal", was not terribly difficult, but it was a definite challenge. Our small group was not successful; however the game made it very possible to succeed. There was a very small amount of mis-direction and extra information, but not too much. If you were successful in progressing past a step, you could figure out the next step without wondering if you were on the wrong track. On one hand, I wish the room itself was a little more decorated to feel more immersed in the theme of the game and add to the experience.. On the other hand, when you're racing the clock, you don't want too many red herrings throwing you off track. I still think that Exit Games could do a little more in this area without causing too many problems.My only concern about this room would be for a group of 8 adults; the Betrayal room was not terribly large and I'm not sure how comfortable it would be in there for 8. I think that "Betrayal" is great for 4-6 people aged 14 and up to complete without too much trouble, but it's certainly not guaranteed. The more 'puzzle lovers' in your group, the better. Our pre-teen children had a lot of fun and were able to contribute towards our progress. This was our first experience with an escape room, and we all enjoyed the experience. We will definitely go back to Exit Games to try their other room based on our positive visit.

An absolute blast! Totally worth the money, would definitely return. Awesome staff, very helpful and courteous. All 8 of us in our party thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Amazing experience! I have now done both The Exam and Betrayal rooms. The Exam involves more math (don't worry, nothing too hard), and we were able to make it through in an hour with minimal hints. So satisfying!Betrayal was a harder room, in my opinion, but we made it through a little past our time limit with a few extra hints. The Exam allowed us to divide and conquer a bit more with our large team while Betrayal had us working more as one on problems that seemed to build on each other. Very fun experience! It would be great for families (probably 5th grade and older), team building, parties, etc. Plus the owners are kind and provide a wonderful experience from the moment you step through the doors. I highly recommend Exit Games KC!
