This was an interesting look into the life of Robert "Evel" Knievel. It covers his childhood to his death. Many of the displays contain original items like his drawing of Man O'War, letters from fans, and letters he wrote for business. Many of the exhibits contain video of him and his jumps, along with the motorcycles, leathers that he wore, etc. It took us about 1.5 hours to go through. The staff at the entrance and exit were friendly. I took off one star because they'll be moving to Las Vegas.

I will start by saying GET THERE WHILE IT'S STILL HERE. I want to thank the staff for a fantastic visit and we feel very lucky to see it in person as it will be permanently closing an moving to Vegas in November. We grew up with Evel in our lives and this place is just filled with so many cool memories....and so many things I didn't know about the life of a true daredevil....definitely a highlight of our cross country adventure.

" WHO AM I GOING TO BUILD RAMPS FOR NOW?"If Evel Knieval inspired Hot Rod, Thank you!Fort some reason I felt I had to go to this museum. I even rearranged our vacation to make it happen because they were closed on Mondays! A little more than I wanted to spend for entry but it's the going rate for museums these days...Very visual museum. Bright and colorful photos. Each event he was doing a jump was featured with a video of the jump or attempt. Obviously tapes weren't as clear then so accept the quality for the time. My two year old was immersed in the videos! A decent amount of memorabilia such as bikes and outfits. I really enjoyed learning more about Evel from how he adapted his name to how he retired. The VR simulation is a few extra bucks. My whole family did it- I suggest it! Pretty cool to see what he would have seen.I liked it! Glad we did it.

Great place with a lot of material. We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon there. This will be moving to Las Vegas so go sooner than later. The employees are very helpful and knowledgeable. Multiple restrooms are available as well as benches to sit if you need to rest. Bring your reading glasses!

We'll done! This was one of the tops things to see in Topeka so we had to check it out. It's 2 floors of Evel Knievel (EK) memorabilia and history. There's a lot of plaque-like info displays and many screens playing short relevant video clips. There's also a theater playing small segments of EK related movies and shows. For an extra fee, there's at least 2 EK experience attractions one can do. They restored EK's famed truck/quarters and trailer that he rode in as did his ramps and motorcycles. This restoration was amazing. I'd say this is a must do museum.

Wasn't every kid pretending to be Evel Knievel as they rode their bike over jumps and ramps? I know I was, so I was very pleased to land here in Topeka where I had the opportunity to tour the museum today. So much memorabilia throughout. The actual leathers he wore, the bikes he rode and videos of the various jumps (successful and not) throughout his career. Even the famous rocket-bike that he used to jump the Snake River. The star of the show, of course, is the restored Big Red Mack truck that was how he toured the country. Interesting video to see it recovered from trashed condition and restored to its former glory.Very interesting to see Evel's chronological history as a showman interspersed with the videos and the memorabilia. There's no one like Evel Knievel for sure.As for the question everyone wants to know, why is this museum in Topeka? https://www.kansascity.com/sports/article213860159.htmlWell worth the time to stop here and the price of the admission.[Review 11421 overall, 1198 of 2019.]

Jump Into the Footsteps of a Legend: The EK museum is one of the finest museums as we travel honoring a true American. You will not only see interpretive write ups & photos on Knievel, but you see the actual outfits, motorcycles, along with videos of each of his major jumps throughout his career. Within this museum is Evel's full "Big Red" semi-truck rig, famous outfits from television, helmets, the EK toy line and his famous can. You'll have the opportunity to climb on a motorcycle to recreate a virtual jump, and then enter the final room where you'll see the sky cycle that Evel attempted to jump the Snake River Canyon. We'll worth the trip, and well worth the memories!
