If situated south of the river, Englewood Park would be considered massive. Since it is in the Northland, it's 50 acres are dismissive. My first childhood memories are attending a Democratic fundraiser with my grandmother; and knocking down figurines of "Haldeman, Ehrlichman, Mitchell and Dean" next to the gorgeous lake. This city park is only 10 blocks from my residence, and my dog Shadow loves coming here to jump in the often times algae filled lake. There is an awesome lake with fishermen each time i'm here, a well maintained playground, baseball and football fields and connections to the trail connecting this park to Anita Gorman Park and the fountain at Vivion and N. Oak. Tons of manicured green space!
