We spent several years at Emler of Westwood and I can't say enough good things. The staff is amazing, and my daughter LOVED it. She learned to swim quickly, and all the skills have stuck with her swim season after swim season. Def recommend!

We have been bringing our kids here for several years and have enjoyed it until this year. 4 times within a two months a kid has thrown up in the pool and class has been canceled after we have already made the 30 minute drive. While I understand it's not their fault, I now have two kids that are terrified of going. I still have 3 more lessons plus 3 makeup lessons. All I want at this point is a refund since they cannot provide the service I have paid for and now my kids are scared to even go into this building. Pretty hard to reschedule to a different day or doing makeup lessons when your kids don't want to go. How they are handling this situation is what I'm not pleased about. I tried calling corporate to speak to a Manager and waited on hold and had to leave a message. Doubt I will even get a call back.

The girls have been swimming on and off since they were in water babies. I'm thoroughly impressed with Erin. She's great with the kids and really makes a connection with them. I appreciate Emler taking the time out to find classes that coincide with the different classes they're in so we don't have a large gap in between classes. The only reason I didn't give 4 stars is that they are very strict on time and sometimes it feels as if they don't get enough time during the 30 minute lesson time when there's 4 children in the class. Also there seems to be high turnover. I think one of the girls has had 3 teachers over the course of a swimming season.

We wasted $600 here on beginners and beginners advanced. Our daughter still isn't about to swim 10 feet in her own. This is from lack of care and consistency from this organization, managers and employees.

Both of my kids have had the privilege of being in one of Miss Natalia's classes. She is very friendly, warm, and knowledgeable. She is passionate about her job and the children she teaches. Even though my kids are no longer in her class, she greets them with a warm smile every week and asks how they are doing. She is a gem and made my kids excited about learning how to swim. Thank you Emler and Miss Natalia!

We are big fans of Emler. We have had all 3 of our kids in swim lessons there since they were ~ 2 years old. My now 7 and 9 year old kids are both on summer swim team. The stroke development they learned at Emler is unmatched. I wanted them in swimming lessons at an early age because I was worried about their safety but what I have ended up with is kids who will be swimmers for a lifetime.

Good teacher; terrible customer service.I have run into many snags with this place from the beginning when trying to schedule classes for my son. Currently, I am attempting to schedule a makeup class and have had no luck doing so online, over the phone, or in person. Desk staff seem very young and not very well-trained, also they are short staffed. The fact that you are always routed through a non-local hq phone number is a symptom of the whole issue I have with this place: though the teacher we have been working with is personable and very competent, there is a very for-profit vibe about the organization that manifests in a very short class, where you are forced to listen to various marketing spiels, while rushing through different stations. If your child is in a very small class (1-3 kids) it works ok, but in a larger class you end up feeling pretty neglected. Not a uniformly bad experience..my son loves water and our instructor was really good, but full of frustrating moments.

@emlerswimschool was very disappointing and I'd caution others from enrolling. The company refuses to refund us the $500 we prepaid for lessons when they were shut this spring, and will only issue a credit for future use. We have an immunocompromised person in our house, so I explained that unfortunately was not a useful option. @emlerswimschool didn't care. No refunds, no exceptions, health issues be dammed. Sad excuse for customer service.

Emler is amazing! Total transformation. Our kids started in the water babies class and were having none of it. They seemed terrified of the water and would cling to us for dear life (2 year old claws hurt when they dig in). By the end of the class they were much more comfortable. We enrolled in their next class and they flourished. Every week they got more and more skilled. Now, a year later, we've enrolled in two more classes and our kids look forward to swimming lessons every week. Not only are they more comfortable, so are we. They are learning valuable water safety skills in a comprehensible way that helps their developing minds retain the core action. We'll have peace of mind for the summer (and a nice activity to tucker them out once a week). The staff at the Westwood location truly make a huge difference. They've been supportive, flexible, and knowledgeable. They helped guide us through the tough early stages and have been there to answer any question we have. I highly recommend anyone with kids, at any age, and any skill level, enroll them in Emler.
