Elite Feet

I was a first time customer. I was given good detail to my needs and set up with a pair of walking/running shoes . Took them home and after 2-3 conservative in home "wearings" and they were not for me. Returned them and ....much to my surprise I was charged a $20 service fee when they were bought. This was NEVER EXPLAINED at the outset and the friend who was with me agreed on that! Perhaps there was a sign in the store that noted the service fee...but personally I feel ripped off. Nice store but get the facts of cost straight.

I strongly recommend to avoid this business. The owner recommended the wrong running shoes for my feet. When I returned the shoes he charged a 20% restocking fee for "his time". He spent less than 10 minutes when I purchased the shoes. I will only do business with Gary Gribbels in the future. The manager/owner was also very arrogant and wouldn't even consider a full refund.

My podiatrist originally recommended Elite Feet, and they gave me a percentage off when I bought my first shoes here- loved that! Knowledgeable staff and competitive pricing- even with online places like Zappos. They run a lot of great sales- sign up for emails so you don't miss anything. Wish they were open longer hours- but that's my only complaint. I'm pretty loyal to my Brooks running shoes now and they've always got them in stock. Btw, they recently moved- but not far away. They're still in Hawthorne Plaza, at 4837 W. 119th St., next to Swimwear Solutions.

FANTASTIC customer service and knowledgeable staff! I bought some shoes in January and in June, part of the sole had come off. I went in and the staff was super friendly and provided me with a new pair no questions asked and at no cost to me!The staff is always friendly and there is usually a sweet dog on staff to greet you as well. I cannot recommend them enough!

We visited this store for the first time and left totally impressed with the excellent service provided by the staff. (Gaelynn, and the trainee currently hired). They are without a doubt very knowledgable of the shoe products they sell and excellent at helping get fitted for the proper shoe. Although a smaller store-; the selection definitely met my needs. Don, the owner, was really cordial and also provided great service.

I had a terrible experience with a male salesperson at this store. I have had foot surgery and wear orthotics, so I have to be careful about the shoes I purchase. I have purchased shoes here before from different salespeople and felt my individual needs were listened to and addressed. This time, though, the salesperson became combative and argued with me. He informed me I didn't know what I needed, even though the shoes I tried on sent a stabbing pain through my foot. I remained civil, and he continued to escalate, so I left. I will not return to this store, and I encourage all female customers to think twice before entering it if you don't want to be mansplained or yelled at.

Make sure you don't let them put you in a shoe that is way oversized for your feet. Returned to the store only to get an insert that was one inch shorter than the shoe? Continued to have pains wearing with the inserts, so finally had to give up on them as my feet were so sore. Tried to see if there was some credit available, as it was truly their miss fitting, flat NO! Could donate the $150 pair and buy a different model!! No thanks

This place is an excellent place to get running shoes. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and they really want to take the time to make sure you feel great about the shoes you find. I have purchased from this store for at least three years, and every experience I have had has been excellent. I was especially impressed with their care and concern with following Covid protocols during my recent visit. I understand that the hours are not convenient for working people as many reviews mention, but you can easily find their hours of operation online and plan accordingly.
