El Rancho Viejo

If you are traveling between Kansas City and St Louis you will need to make this your new stop. They are rigbt off the highway and east to find. We arrived around 5:30 and were seated right away at a booth. I don't think I set my purse down before we had chips and salsa on the table. The menu was full of great choices. I chose the Chili Colorado Beef and my daugter chose the Caldo de Pollo (chicken soup). The Chili Colorado was tasty but not very spicy. Sometimes it's spicy and sometimes not. Depends on the restaurant and what you like. But I ate all of it! The Caldo de Pollo was a very large serving. The chunks of chicken were humongous and the broth tasted fresh and homemade. Perfect for a chilly and blustery night. So much that she had to take the rest home in a container.The restaurant itself is very tidy and newer. The service is friendly and lightning fast! Hint, the locals started rolling in at 6:00 and then the place was full! So we arrived at the perfect time!

Stopped here on our way home from Colorado. Trust me when I say I will be craving their food. It was delicious and the staff was very friendly.

I made a pitstop and I had the Enchiladas Tepito menu item for lunch. The service was excellent as well as the food.

Been here twice in a weeks time. Staff is always friendly and food is amazing. It's always on our list when we decide to eat out!

Dinner last night @el rancho viejo in Boonville. First food was not good. Ordered a to go rotel and they charged me a dollar for my To go containers! Then my brother asked for a Togo drink, a different soda and they charged for that! Then the owner had a smart remark about charging for the drink. My sister had tacos that were awful! Mom taco salad that was sent back! This was my first and last experience at EL RANCHO!!!

Fantastic street shrimp tacos...yummy guacamole. I love the staff they are very polite & work hard to help you. I highly recommend this for a couple, family and groups.

Very good spot in Boonville for a great plate of yummy Mexican good! Near I 70 and the staff is friendly.

While traveling, I saw this place about a block or two from where I'm staying. Drove by & there were lotta cars in the parking lot so I went back to check it out. Good food, nice people, extremely fast getting my order ready for takeout when I dropped by. I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered taco salad and they even threw in the chips and salsa that most places only give you for dine in

My family and I eat here once a week. We enjoy the menu items and margaritas. The prices and people here are awesome. This restaurant is clean and well run.

Best Mexican restaurant in town hands down! Their food is fantastic and the service is always fast and friendly.
