Well, we are off to a great start! Chips and salsa are on point! I had the tostada and quesadilla lunch plate. They use the white Queso Chihuahua. It's good! Food was hot, staff was friendly! This restaurant is gigantic! They appear to have tons of room, and separate sections for a party.

This place is terrible! MY BOYFRIEND AND I BOTH GOT FOOD POISONING! I could tell when I tasted the salsa that the tomatoes had gone bad. I literally ate three chips and decided I better stop. My boyfriend could taste the same thing but added the queso to his and kept eating it, not really believing it was bad... well... he spent the night in the bathroom... The service was awful! Took FOREVER for everything. We literally went there for quick service and it took us 20 minutes just to get helped.. The little 14 year old girl handing out chips and salsa was rude as hell. We will NEVER GOT BACK HERE

Muy rico¡ Margaritas were delicious and the cheapest anywhere in Blue Springs for a Wednesday. Excellent street tacos, soupy beans, fresh Guacamole, and quesadilla con pollo. The service was outstanding. We will ask for Franco next Wednesday when we return. It may become our go to Wednesday night Mexican restaurant.

We have been El Ranchero customers for YEARS!! Andrea and her sister provide excellent service and their food quality and price have been consistent- withstanding the pandemic and inflation which has pushed others to either lower quality/quantity or raise prices. Highly recommend their combo plates and fajitas. We've tried most everything and it's fantastic. My husband and our friends are big fans of the black margaritas and almost always take some to go now that it's an option. If you like the heat, try the habanero salsa - on request. I mix it into the reg salsa and indulge on chips, salsa, and guacamole. Cheese sauce is pretty delish, don't be deceived by the light cheese. It has good flavor. The El Ranchero fajitas are my absolute favorite and it's the chorizo that makes it the very best with chicken, shrimp, and steak. This is a great spot in a nice location with some great folks from our community. Their kids go to school here and they are running a great restaurant.

Hubs had a taste for Mexican food so I jumped on Yelp and this place had the highest stars in the area for Mexican food. After going, I'm not sure why. We walked in, everything was fine. As soon as we got to our table (and had barely sat down), we were asked for our drink orders. We hadn't even opened the menus. Luckily, I get the same drink everywhere we go these days. Hubs had to look for what he wanted. Put the orders in and no joke, like 30 seconds later, our waiter came back and asked for our orders. We decided to put in an appetizer to give us time. When we got our drinks (again, 30-40 seconds later), we were asked again for our order. We told him we weren't ready. Our appetizer came out shortly after that and can you guessed what happened? Bingo! We were asked for our order again. This time, we were ready. Gave our order. My order came out first. Like almost 5 minutes before his. He got his and we started eating. Well, we actually got the wrong order (hubs order). The couple sitting next to us ordered a similar burrito and we got theirs and they got ours. We didn't realize until my husband and the other guy had taken a bite. Once it was known, the couple told the waiter. The waiter (wait for it) asked hubs how much of it he had eaten like he was going to do a swap! Who does that?! Both had already been cut into and some eaten! He was just going to swap them? I ordered fajitas and my steak was very, very chewy to point it was like one big piece of stringy meat that couldn't even be cut properly. The "air conditioning" had the fan up very high to the point that napkins were flying around. There also was a lot of flies which explains why the fan was up so high. Needless to say this was the first and the last time we will be dining here.

I visited this establishment again after receiving a coupon in my mailbox, and I'm glad I did because the food was delicious. For a sit down restaurant the prices are very reasonable, especially for the amount of food that you receive. I believe I ordered the #7 on the menu and was very happy with my choice! Also, I had to try their horchata too and it was very well made, which is hard to find around here. The servers and hosts were very friendly and gave me and my guests quick service as well.

The first time we ate there the food was good and the service was OK we went there tonight for Valentine's Day and literally they messed up everything I ordered I ordered a frozen margarita it came as a regular I ordered my chicken quesadilla with no tomato it came with tomato I asked him to fix it and it came back with refried beans on it the server brought the ticket never even asked if we wanted dessert all around horrible experience
