THE BEST CHIPS AND SALSA ANYWHERE!! Went to the location under the water tower, holy cow were those great! The rest of the food was really good as well. Atmosphere was like any other Mexican restaurant and the service was really good! I wish the beer on tap was a little colder but all in all, 5*!! Did I mention the chips and salsa?!?!

Great friendly service from the beginning. An exhaustive menu has something for everybody and the quality is high across the selections. Attention was paid to detail such as delivering a cold plate for a child or water with lemon but no ice. Time from order to eating was unbelievably short for a party of five. No mistakes to the tasty dishes that were not as spicy as some might prefer.

We have loved going to this place. I ordered Supreme Enchilada as I have done many times. That night I spent the midnight hours throwing it all back up. I called to inform them of my experience and all I was told its not possible that I got food poisoning. I won't be returning.

Great place for simple Mexican food. The menu has a variety for everyone. The prices were reasonable. The drink menu has good selections and very cheap. The place is always busy but the wait time is not too bad. Will come back again.

This place is massive, no waiting to be seated for sure. I guess I would rather wait at a table rather than wait in line. I tend to rate a Mexican Restaurant right off the bat buy the chips and dip you get served. If you get a little cold bowl of cold tasteless chips with a bottle of red sauce then get up and leave. Just what we should have at this place. My favorite of Mexican food is a really good Taco but I do not like a lot of sour cream on anything so I normally ask to leave it off my food. In this case I guess no sour cream means nothing but cheese as that is all I had except a spoon full of hamburger. They really need to stop by Taco Bell and find out how to make a Taco. Not that Taco Bell has the best Taco but it is a heck of a lot better than this restaurant has. The drinks were pretty much right out of the bottle.We have a few of really good Mexican Restaurants in Jefferson City but this is not one of them.

The only "Mexican" in this place is the staff. This is the worst, Americanized 'Mexican' food I've had, over and over.I say over and over because this is the only place my coworkers will go to celebrate.The service is horrendously and famously rude even when you speak Spanish as I do.Any place that uses pre-made taco shells like Taco Bell should be your cue to get the heck out there town. Fail.

Was in JCMO for a function and stopped off at El Espolon for supper. I was unwhelmed by our visit. To be fair, it was a Tuesday night and they had a very large table (probably 20 or so) that was probably the main cause of the problem. And the problem was a longish wait to order and a longish wait for the food. The chips were good/fresh but I was not crazy about the salsa...although my wife liked the salsa OK.My wife liked her seafood fajita and I got the Pollo Bandito. The quantity of food was very large although the quality was OK (still not sure if the big group overwhelmed the kitchen).Prices were very reasonable. I will go back again to see if we just caught them on an understaffed busy night.

Went here yesterday, we ordered food it came out kind of cold, the waiter was a little bit slow, not trying to be rude, when we were in line for getting seated we got cut off by 4 people that weren't in line, the food was pretty good though.

Went for Cinco de Mayo - service was bad, food was gross. This is NOT Mexican food. It's watered down and tasteless. I don't think anyone there cares anymore and it definitely shows. Our waitress was extremely rude. When they brought out the food it had sloshed around the plates and it was messy. Never going back there again!
