A group of us were able to check out the Kansas City Restaurant Week menu the other night. There is parking across the street for those that don't want to use the valet parking. Cody our server was great with welcoming us and suggesting any libations that we might be interested in. I have the Private Plane. It was a very well balanced delightful drink. Food wise We were served a one bite Chef's Amuse Bouche, it was a good little bit to start your tastebuds off. For my appetizer I ordered the Maine Lobster Bisque, it was a good size pour and had a large chunk of lobster with very good flavoring. We asked Cody what the fish of the day was and he said Swordfish. Trust me when I tell you this was the right choice!! The Swordfish steak that we got was a huge size. This was cooked absolutely amazingly. I would go back just for that if they had it on the menu all the time. To finish off my meal I got the Bananas Foster Butter Cake with Ice Cream. It was SOOOO good, I would have taken a full plate of it.

Crab fried rice to go.. Arrived at the bar to be greeted by more than one bartender as the bar was hoping. So appreciative of the good service picking up my to go. The rice was all the way cooked. It wasn't oily as it tended to be but flavor was off too.

Came here for Kansas City Restaurant Week. We were a group of 5 and our server was Cody. Valley parking is available if you don't want to walk from the parking garage. Their is one across the street. We had appetizers, drinks, main course and dessert. All the food was delicious. They had a live band in the bar area, that was just loud enough, to be more background music for the dining area so we could easily talk.

Always a treat. Had the fillet tro! Amazing. Blue point oysters were briny yet sweet. And you must have the Banana Foster. Live music added the right touch.

Been here 3 times and just now getting down to writing a review. If you are looking for a fancy night on the town, being spoiled by great service and a pretty decent meal on the plaza. This is probably your top pick. Waiters/waitresses are veterans in the biz, know their menu, wine list and more! Should you be wanting to have a dinner on the plaza without breaking the bank with delicious memorable dishes you might want to go somewhere else. I've liked it but comparing it to my favorite steak, seafood, sides and dessert places its not here. I like it though, the service and ambiance is great and top notch for sure. Just not all that impressed by the food and thats supposed to be the main highlight. Now having said that.... If you didn't eat all your dinner and you get talked into dessert get the bananas foster! Killer good.

Eddies Vs takes fine dining and completely excels at it with steak and fish. All of the dishes we had were excellent starting with the lobster bisque it was very slurpeable. The crab cake was delicious and was a big portion. We also got the sides of honey siracha Brussels sprouts and crab fried rice. Both accompany with whatever you are ordering really well. We got their fish of the day which was exceptionally prepared well and delicious. The service we got was fantastic but if you are going on a weekend expect it to be packed. We arrived early for our reservation and tried to sit at the bar to get a drink but there wasn't an empty seat. Overall this is a great place to celebrate something special or a night out.

If I could give this restaurant more than 5 stars, I would. I have been to this location numerous times for special occasions and the food is always top tier. This is an elegant/upscale restaurant so prepare to spend some money. My favorite appetizer is the crab cake, it's so flavorful and rich! Pictured is the salmon, crab fried rice (believe me this is just as good as it sounds) and the steak and lobster tail. Not pictured are the drinks, which are a presentation within themselves. I feel that no matter what you order on the menu, you will not be disappointed. The service is always amazing, with super attentive servers and they're very knowledgeable about their menu. Overall, this is one of my favorite places to eat in the area.

I came to Eddie V's for restaurant week this past Thursday. It was a group of 6 of us. I had been to Eddie V's before for a friend's birthday. Just a heads up, they wait to seat you until your whole party arrives, so just make sure that everyone gets there on time! Let me start with the positives. The service was great. The crispy salt & pepper shrimp, as well as the lobster bisque, were delicious. The bananas foster butter cake, served with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream, was probably one of the best desserts I've ever had. The only negative of the meal was my entree. I ordered the filet mignon, cooked medium, with truffle mashed potatoes. My steak was so dry I couldn't finish it. My recommendation would be to order it medium rare, and also with some butter or sauce. The mashed potatoes just tasted like truffle oil, and I couldn't get past the overpowering flavor. Overall, Eddie V's is an elegant, upscale restaurant, perfect for a date night or special occasion. I just would opt for the seafood entrees if I return!

My husband took me here for our anniversary. This is a business causal upper scale restaurant. With valet parking. It's not only a restaurant it is an experience. They do the little touches that used to be common with fine dinning. IE: crumb sweeping, serving of a dish, bring out and placing of correct silverware to be used etc. Since they knew it was our anniversary, they gave us a hand written card and some rose petals. We started off with drinks and an appetizer. The delicious drinks were presented side table and a fun experience. My husband had the Smoked Old Fashioned. I had the joy of The Hope Diamond. We enjoyed the very tasty and fresh Ahi Tuna Tartare for our appetizer. Dinner we decided to continue with the seafood theme. And the flavors were delicious.I had the special of Alaskan Halibut. Which was delightful. My husband had the Sea Bass.We decided to add on the Lobster and white cheddar mashed potatoes. The portions on the entrées and the side dish were all generous. For dessert, our waiter (not server), brought us a complimentary (special occasion) treat. Which was fabulous and my husband wanted more. A sampling of their Bananas Foster Buttercake with butter pecan icecream and their double chocolate cookies.I am not sure if they do this all the time, but more than likely they do.We were not disappointed with our visit/experience and we will definitely be back. The cost may seem pricey but if you take in the details and that its an experience. It was worth it to us.

The service here is always top notch and the place is immaculate and very elegant. This time around we enjoyed a few of their specials/seasonal menu items, with a crab cake to start. Their crab cake is spectacular, it is the reason we keep going back! This place is pretty pricey, but they deliver on service, ambience, and delicious food. I would definitely recommend for a special occasion or date night.
