The ambience is phenomenal for this quaint, spotless, well put together bbq joint! As cute and cozy as ever. Decor is as pretty as a peach! Nice waiting area, but no dine-in. Carry out only. Ordered ribs, 1/2 lb of brisket, chicken, fries and bbq beans.Please forgive me, but I dove in sooo fast I forgot to take photos so will have to share them the next visit. The ribs were extremely tender and meaty as was the brisket...sooo delightfully delicious. Please stop through the next time you have a hankering for great bbq. You'll be glad you did!!!Oh and the staff was over-the-top inviting and warm. That's icing on the cake for me!!!It's truly a Dunn Deal y'all!

The BBQ here is great. Gerald is doing it right. I ordered a pound of ribs and a pound of brisket and check out the photo! Fantastic. This is my new favorite barbecue in Kansas City. It's basically a to-go spot, but the food is totally worth the price. The service is friendly and the waiting room is comfy. Everyone there was happy and friendly. And theline continued to form while I waited, and this was around 2PM. If you want meat or sandwiches to go. Stop by Dunn Deal. They are only open on Friday and Saturday, so plan ahead.

As a Texan, I am very impressed and pleased with the moist brisket and ribs that fall off the bone! I'm so glad I was able to experience this great BBQ in KC!

Very good food.Friendly staff . The brisket very tender. The sauce very good.The ribs are very meaty and the chicken had a very good taste.

Picked up carryout during their soft opening period. We both ordered the lunch special, as they hadn't implemented their full menu yet, and just had it written on the board behind the checkout counter. For some silly reason we ordered the exact same thing: 1 meat lunch special with brisket, potato salad and beans. Wishing we'd tried the fries and coleslaw to give a more well-rounded review but here we are. We both thought the brisket was great. It could have been warmer but that's the risk you run with carryout. We also both enjoyed the sauce and the potato salad. I didn't really enjoy the beans (I expected and wanted baked beans so that may be more on me and what I'm accustomed to, but my boyfriend liked them). It's a nice space to wait but there was a bit of a wait. If they were fully open, I probably would have knocked off a star because none of our food was cooked a la minute so a 15 minute wait was quite long but hopefully they'll get the kinks worked out in the coming weeks. I would definitely order again. Just a few notes for the owners: I would suggest they pick a less divisive channel than what they were playing, like a food network, espn, or hgtv. I was annoyed with the channel they chose (their business, of course) but it made the wait feel more obvious. Another suggestion is to add burnt ends to the menu - if they make brisket this good, I have to imagine the ends would be terrific. And I'm a sandwich girl so the option for a sandwich would have been nice. But overall, a promising experience.

The best Brisket, and the best Chicken, in the KC metro! My wife and I have eaten at more than a dozen KC area barbecue restaurants in the past 10 years, and where I'm more of a foodie, and she's more of a traditionalist, we both agree that Dunn Deal has the best brisket and chicken we've ever had. We also loved the Pulled Pork and the BBQ Beans, and I'm really looking forward to moving my way all the way through the menu.

It was so good! It made converts out of my kids. Loved by all! Took it up in mother in-laws for Mother's Day and she made us leave the brisket with her! We will be back!

On Friday it is closed at 4 p.m. before I get off work so can't order and take anything home for dinner. Only open two days a week for 5 hrs. each day. Won't be in business long. Don't understand how a business can exist no matter if good or not.
